Hi! Thanks for creating for me, or for otherwise taking a look at my letter. I’m fencesit and also notthedevil on AO3! I'm requesting fic and art for all requests as well as vids for most of them.

I would like to extremely stress that the first part of this letter was 1/3 letters I did one weekend, and the rest was written the next weekend in the hours after sign up closed so...this is not a perfectly polished and fleshed out letter. Some requests have a lot less information than others, because some things I was able to copy/paste and others I was not. I really want everything! I did not have more than what is here in me, though. If none of my prompts work, I hope one of my like lists will do the trick! • fic that primarily focuses on Azula — I love Azula and I don't mind her showing up! But I really want to see fic mostly focusing on someone or something else. It's okay if that thing is vaguely Azula adjacent (eg, Fire Nation politics or Azula as the antagonist) and definitely okay for Azula to benefit directly/on purpose, I basically just DNW fic where an / or & Azula relationship would need to be tagged, eg Azula & Zuko.

The Untamed DNWs/clarifications

• plot/characterization drawn from other related canons — I haven't read MDZS yet, am behind on the donghua, etc. I don't mind smaller worldbuilding details or character information being pulled from the novel where it doesn't contradict The Untamed, but I will get confused if you blend the two canons!
• suicide/suicidal ideation clarification:
  • the suicides in the show are fine to mention/have happen/include on-screen, but I don't want anything written from the POV of those characters in that moment
• the rotting undead/zombies clarification: Obviously, the show has puppets, not zombies...but okay, they're kind of basically exactly obviously zombies, lmao, and to be honest I do love necromancy as a narrative element despite being squeamish and weak.
  • You can stick with show-canon "they were just puppets!"/"Wen Ning was only mostly almost dead!" if you want!
  • or you can have them be zombies, but I really do DNW the "rotting" part of this DNW — please let your undead be either freshly killed, magically preserved, or past the point of rotting (eg, skeletons, ghosts!).
  • (if you just don't mention decomposition I will happily never consider it even when it should be happening!)

Ship likes:

• Anything on my general likes list is excellent in shipfic too of course. Also, I am a pretty big fan of understated shipfic — if you just put the characters together and show that they care about each other then I don't even need kissing or anything, really, which I think can work well for fandoms where characters are frequently in life-or-death situations or need to be professional. Not that kissing isn't welcome! Just, I am extremely easy to please on the "Is this shippy enough?" front.
• Slow burn, friends to lovers, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers — The slower the better. FWB-to-lovers is also great.
• Characters who have history with each other — established relationships are good, but what I really love is feeling like the characters know each other well and think about each other often. In characters who are already friends, that probably looks like, say, knowing what kind of coffee the other person likes. In characters who were enemies, they probably know each other’s weaknesses and faults really well.
• Arguments where each person thinks the conversation is about something subtly different — I mean, misunderstandings in general are great for tension, but I like it when characters are trying to communicate but they’re coming from perspectives so different that they can’t even argue without clarification.
• Casual physical affection — a lot of my ships involve people who have massive or very specific personal bubbles, so seeing the way the characters touch each other when they’re not already in Kissing Mode is really great.
• Pining, especially longstanding they-could-never-want-me pining — the id wants what the id wants and what the id wants is characters with low self-worth. Bonus points if it's tied up in some kind of misunderstanding about their relationship (eg, "They hate me!" or "I'm ugly!") or their differing rank/species/wealth/etc.
• When their hands touch and other very understated moments of romantic or sexual tension — aaaaaaa I don't even have words for how much I love this, if you include it I will wail happily at you about it in my comment, possibly at length.

Smut likes

I don't usually request smut but if you want to include it then I don't mind. I know that that's kind of an extremely bland and unenthusiastic way to start out but it's, uh, really honest, at least? I'm usually after character interaction, plot, or worldbuilding with my requests, but getting a sex scene along with other stuff definitely wouldn't ruin a gift. Overall, I want you to feel free to write sex if you would enjoy doing so/if you think the fic will be better with it! I'm generally just enthused by my writer getting to have fun writing something they're proud of, you know?

There are obviously some things I do like, and I know some folks really enjoy tailoring their fic (i'm one of them!) so:

• Extremely emotionally charged sex — No matter what kind of sex acts they do, I really love when the sex has a lot of feelings involved, especially if it's sad emotions or desperation or part of some hurt/comfort or whump.
• Sex that's very directly relevant to the plot or character arcs — I love sex scenes where I learn more about a character or relationship. Is 'character driven smut' a thing? Because if so, that's my favorite. And also porn with plot.
• anal and pegging, PIV, frottage, intercural, handjobs, all kinds of fingering, strapons, toys
• overstimulation and edging, orgasm delay/denial
• bondage — handcuffs, spreader bars, honor bondage, and honestly pretty much anything in the general category of restricting someone's movement during sex
• praise kink, loyalty kink, hurt/comfort, trust and sex otherwise overloaded with emotion
• magic/super powers being used in fun and inventive ways
• clothing/uniform kink, half-clothed sex, one naked and the other not.
• hair petting, cuddling, lazy mornings in bed, touch starvation
• size difference, size kink, come inflation, large insertions
• pregnancy, including mpreg — impregnation porn and pregnant sex welcome, eggpreg and het mpreg are also fine. And while we're talking about it, narratively speaking I love a fic where being pregnant/mpregnant is upsetting because the character didn't plan for it, thinks their partner doesn't want it, conceived in a nonconsensual or dubiously consensual way, can't afford it, etc, all of which could be comforted away with or without sex. I'm not much for birthing scenes.
• probably other things that I'm forgetting! I'm pretty open to a bunch of things that aren't on the above list or mentioned in my DNWs, and if you're unsure if you should include something please feel free to ask through the mods.

Hatake Kakashi & Sai

I love Team 7 but I never really see this gen match up and I want it so bad, lmfao, because they're both such disasters. I don't really have anything else to say about them besides that. When it comes to the shippy tags I suppose you could write Kakashi/Sai if that's your OTP or something (I'll try any ship once!) but I'd also love to see something like, idk, Sai having romantic problems and picking the absolute worst person to go to for advice.

Here are some low-effort prompts because this is my third letter in 2 days...

• Assassination Attempt(s) — Someone tries to assassinate Kakashi and Sai is in charge of the investigation into who tf it was. Sai is surprised that he's trusted with such a task.
• Loyalty — Did Sai ever get that talk about being trash if you put the mission above your team, or did he just learn that rule by osmosis?
• Rescue — Sai doesn't expect anyone to come for him, and if he had thought to hope for rescue he would have imagined Naruto, or Sakura, or maybe Tenzō. But it's Kakashi. Of course it's Kakashi.
• Time Travel — This is the best/worst peggy sue team up ever. Or maybe Sai goes back in time and gets busted by Kakashi. Or maybe one or both of them are in a time loop!
• Touch-Starved — Maybe Kakashi could simply bury him in dogs for an afternoon, that'd be nice.

Hoshigaki Kisame/Hatake Kakashi

What I like about this ship is that Kakashi and Kisame have obvious points of tension, but none of it feels particularly insurmountable or personal. I mean, ok, that whole "capturing Naruto" thing is a sticking point, but Kisame never manages it and no one dies (mostly) so them working through it feels interesting rather than impossible. I also think that both of them are people who value loyalty very highly and are, in their own ways, disillusioned with the village system...but obviously have chosen very different paths. Also, Kakashi is a sad dog man and Kisame is a big fighty shark dude and I just love them both?

Also also I guess I will say that I really love ships between dangerous people who have little reason to trust each other, so two extremely strong, suspicious ninja from different villages coming to trust and then even like each other goes straight to my id, and so does any ongoing tension over their loyalties and stuff!

Timelines: In terms of character timelines I'm open to pretty much everything! I really like Kisame as a missing nin and I think his time with the Akatsuki is really interesting, but I also really like Kirigakure worldbuilding and all of the characters associated with it, so something set before Kisame leaves or in a universe where he didn't would be good too! For Kakashi, basically the same thing — I love canon him and I would love canon divergent him — although I'm not very interested in fics where Kakashi is Hokage.

• Missing nin Kakashi — Maybe he assassinated Hiruzen like Danzō wanted and Danzō turned around and, you know, labeled him a criminal? Maybe Kakashi is sent to infiltrate Akatsuki instead of Itachi?
• Kakashi saves Kisame — they've been working together for awhile completely professionally but each knowing the other would most likely turn on them under the right circumstances. Kakashi takes the first step, pushing them towards something more, when he refuses to leave Kisame behind even though staging a rescue puts Kakashi at substantially more risk than just leaving him behind.
• Kisame saves Kakashi — I mean, obviously I love Kakashi being the one to instigate, but what would it take Kisame to be the one to stick his neck out for Kakashi?
• I wrote a Kisame/Kakashi fic one time and would take recursive fic of it.

Senju Tobirama/Hoshigaki Kisame

I guess why I like the idea of this ship is that A) it's blatantly nonsensical, honestly, it's delightfully ridiculous but B) I think if it were taken as seriously as possible and an earnest attempt was made a really really interesting fic could result. Kisame has a lot of Opinions about a village system that Tobirama more or less built, and I think that that could lead to some EXTREMELY interesting interactions. Plus, you know, Kisame's main contact with Konoha is through Itachi which means his has an incredibly different POV of it compared to most characters who typically meet Tobirama via time travel.

I don't mind mentions of past Kisame/Itachi and I have a very very low bar for what would be "shippy enough" for a weird ship like this. In fact, honestly, I would be pleased with gen interactions between them, too, so do that if you want.

Hoshigaki Kisame/Uchiha Itachi

Sometimes when I think about Kisame I just get so emotional!!!! Especially when I think about him being sad Itachi was dead as he himself was dying oh my god ;-; he was so loyal and also a big fighty shark person who just wanted to kick ass and have people tell him the truth and I wish he and Itachi could have gotten a happen ending, especially because I am also frequently devastated when thinking about Itachi. I love that they their professional relationship working together for the Akatsuki developed into a real friendship (or....more? :DDD) and gosh I would just like to roll around in some fic for them!!

Izuna was so against peace and so unwilling to trust Hashirama that he literally died for it so I would LOVE to see him be Like That with Hashirama. Maybe they do a sort of enemies-to-friends thing where Izuna realizes he's wrong...or maybe Izuna remains staunchly certain that Hashirama is his enemy! I would honestly enjoy either. Overall any kind of focus on how terrifying Hashirama is to other ninja/Izuna in particular would be wonderful, as well as any look at the sort of general suspicion and caution required in the warring clans era! Like, is it hard for Hashirama to trust Izuna? Is helping Izuna a difficult choice, despite Hashirama's dream?

I would enjoy anything from Hashirama and Izuna becoming friends despite Izuna's best efforts to Hashirama having to injure or kill Izuna for the sake of the village, so really go where your heart takes you!

Timeline: Pretty much anything would be good, pre- or post-village founding, but I usually like for characters to be 12 or older just because I don't find children very interesting to read about? On the other hand they're off being child soldiers at that age, so maybe it'd be good! I trust you.

Senju Tobirama/Uchiha Madara

This ship has just SUCH good potential for tension, conflict, politics, and iddy, iddy goodness. They're from two warring clans! They're at the center in a crazy shift in ideology and warfare! They're both hot! Listen, I could gush about them forever.

Tobirama and Madara have a really interesting contrast (eg, Tobirama is logical, keeps his emotions locked down, has a strong leaning towards analysis and systems...and meanwhile Madara is like a big huge hot mess of All The Feelings) and the fact that they were probably raised very differently and definitely raised on opposite sides of a longstanding conflict is hella good. Their thoughts on the village, their approaches to problem solving, and even probably their very fundamental belief systems are extremely different and that's the kind of thing that can lead to really interesting tension. What they do have in common (Hashirama, losing brothers, wanting to protect their clans, each at some point in some way genuinely believing in Konoha, probably PTSD from the whole child soldier thing) makes for an interesting foundation to build a relationship.

I'd love something that explores how hard it is for them to trust each other, especially when vulnerable. Any kind of focus on ninja being cautious, dangerous, suspicious, sneaky, and etc. I don't need/want them to be grimdark edgelords who assassinate kids once a week or anything, but just kind of...a general awareness that they've been at war their whole lives against the kind of enemies who use illusions, poison, infiltration, subtle manipulation, and any other means necessary to achieve their goals! I love that shit.

• Timeloop — One of them is in a timeloop and takes forever to ask the other one for help, and then maybe takes forever convincing the other one to help. Either or both of them in a time loop that has something to do with Izuna's death. Or: Tobirama has been looping for as long as he can remember and he's so tired, tired enough to finally refuse to fight because nothing else has worked.

• Bloodline thieves — Bloodline theives make AMAZING antagonists, especially for pre-village stuff, because they can make these two work together :D so anything with them would be great. People trying to steal the Sharingan from Madara is obvious, but I'd also take bloodline thieves capturing Tobirama under the mistaken assumption that either A) he has the mokuton or B) his red lines are a powerful bloodline. Or maybe the aftermath of Tobirama rescuing Izuna from bloodline theives and Madara is ssssoooo thankful? :D :D :D

I love that LQG mistakenly thinks SQQ tried to kill him and SQQ knows that LQG thinks that and never apparently tried to clarify it. I really love the inherent tension in LQG growing to care for Shen Yuan!SQQ after his tumultuous experiences with the original goods, and I extra love a good dose of Liu Qingge pining for SY. This ship has it all??? Miscommunication! Loyalty/fealty! Cultural differences! Class/status difference! A daring rescue! A dramatic reveal! Noodles!

I am still in that phase of shipping this ship where my first thought when I try to explain why I like it is to just emphatically gesture at very canon passages but, okay, I find it really interesting that SQH is a disaster and MBJ is too stoic for his own good. They're never on the same page until they get together and that appeals to me a lot.

Also I think it would be hard to read a fic that focuses too hard on the beating-three-times-a-day canon, but I definitely wouldn't mind SQH being kind of afraid of his life/unable to stop thinking about how MBJ is going to kill him eventually, so long as he's also turned on/romantically flustered/just kind of generally seriously into MBJ despite his worries.

Luo Binghe/Shen Qingqiu

Okay, I don't usually request this ship and in fact usually DNW it, but I was filled with a mighty need today to request this ship in the flavor I like it in.

Basically....I am about this ship right up until they actually get together, and then my interest plummets. It's not because I dislike them together, but just....the tension goes out of it, and I love their tension. That swath of the novel after LBH comes back where SQQ is frequently in close proximity to LBH and more and more convinced every moment that LBH is going to kill him? I could eat that every day with a spoon. I love SQQ just looking at LBH and thinking, "Oh, fuck, that guy is going to brutally torture me!" and being completely mistaken god it's delicious. And LBH has no idea he's coming off that way, which just makes it so much better.

But I'm not looking to make you write exactly that and I do like a lot of different flavors of pre-get together LBH/SQQ! My DNW is exactly: "DNW happy established LBH/SQQ"

Therefore in addition to anything set pre-relationship and post-Abyss, I would also enjoy any of these options:

• They're not together but they're pretty happy — like maybe they've cleared up most of the misunderstandings except the really gay ones, or maybe it's an AU where LBH didn't go into the Abyss. That'd be a really interesting scenario to explore the Trust Issues tag or throw in some dimensional travel! Their relationship was pretty fucked up even without the Abyss, after all, and LBH has some major issues.
• They're together but they're not happy — like they're fucking or have fucked but one or both of them doesn't think it's serious, or one of them thinks it's totally consenual but oops it's not because dubcon misunderstandings or accidental noncon via sex pollen, or like LBH thinks they're totally dating and in love and SQQ doesn't know what the fuck is going on just that he's glad he's not dead yet. (Or they WERE together and they WERE happy in a no-Abyss AU and then oops LBH's demon heritage comes out! Drama! Tension! Angst! Unfounded worries about being sticked!)
• They're not together and they're not happy but it's different from canon — like imagine if instead of insisting that Shizun went with him after the confrontation at Cang Qiong, LBH takes that shred of affection and very sulkily backs off. Shizun is alive now. Shizun is telling him to leave. But maybe he could slowly court his way into Shizun's affections...? (SQQ, receiving flowers: Oh no, this is a threat, these are probably deadly poisonous, kill them with fire!)

I am interested in them getting together and being happy by the end, and I'm not really into unequivocally tragic endings. On the other hand, I don't require an outright happy ending or for it to end with them kissing or anything — I'd be perfectly content to imagine these two idiots deliciously missing the point for eons upon eons, so if you want to just write a small lil snack or canon compliant coda I will be very satisfied!

And I would also be really interested in... haha... LBH's horror when he figures out that that's what SQQ thinks is going on! • Trust Issues — This should just be their ship name, actually. Obviously SQQ is waiting for LBH to snap and rip his limbs off, but LBH's side of things is also really compelling!

General Crossover Preferences

For this crossover I would prefer things take place in The Untamed's setting, but I would like Naruto's setting to remain a separate and distinct — I am not interested in a fusion where the Uchiha clan is a cultivation sect, for instance — but if you're really dying to write in Narutoverse instead don't let my preferences stop you!

If you would like to give any of the crossover characters solid backgrounds in the cultivation world, I would very much enjoy a version of this where the crossover characters reincarnated into The Untamed's setting with their memories! The crossover characters could even reincarnate into canon characters, if you like that.

Otherwise, I'm fine with Naruto's ninja-filled setting being either very far away or in a different universe entirely. I am a big fan of "oh no, this experimental jutsu/surprise seal trap has sent me to a strange place!" as a plot device! It's fine for crossover characters to be permanently stranded in The Untamed universe.

Black Box Prompts

I love the style Black Box is written in and I would absolutely love to see something written in that style. I'd really be happy with just about anything you want to write! In addition to the second person POV, features of this style that I really like include:

• The numbered sections! If you're going to write something set during the events of the story, then I'd love to have you use the scene number to let me know exactly when you're breaking in. (Eg, if you're diverging from canon in the middle of section 16, number your first scene 16, your section scene 17, etc.)
• The short paragraphs! Originally this story was released via twitter and inside the logic of the story thoughts are only recorded for the record when the Narrator makes the conscious choice to turn the recording device on. I don't necessarily need you to stick to paragraphs that'd fit inside a tweet, though.
• The narrative distance! The Narrator is recording her thoughts, but she's doing so as professional instructions and a record of her mission, plus she's gone through and trimmed down extraneous thoughts after getting home. It creates this really interesting, restrained effect where we're definitely literally inside the Narrator's head, but at the same time the Narrator is concentrated almost entirely on giving instructions and practical information. It creates this great distance between the Narrator's narrated thoughts and the narrator's self, which is the sort of thing that really makes second person POVs shine. It leaves lots of room for the Narrator to know and think and feel things that she also simultaneously cannot know, think, or feel.

Again, anything in this fandom would be wonderful! But in case you need something to go off of and the mediums haven't sparked anything...

• An AU where the Alpha Beauty is with the same spy program as the Narrator and they team up, or honestly just anything where they're allies. I really loved the exchange in part 29 where the Alpha Beauty calls the Designated Mate a bastard for leaving the Narrator behind and I just... want more!!
• How does the Narrator deal with coming home? How does her husband deal? Maybe the Narrator is encouraged to continue to use the thought transcriptions for therapeutic journaling reasons.
• What was training like for the Narrator? Does she help train further women when she gets home? Anything that handles what this program does before and after missions would just be great.
• How did Alpha Beauty end up where she is, doing what she does?

Why Lockhart

I am interested in two kinds of fic here:

• Fic where Gilderoy Lockhart is the main character.
• Fic where Gilderoy Lockhart is the main subject, but maybe doesn't actually appear.

I was suddenly overcome with a passionate and surprising need for Lockhart fic while writing my letter for the last round of UFE, and I've been requesting him ever since because Gilderoy Lockhart is a very interesting character! An excellent and stunning character! And also a horrible person, which just makes him better. Lockhart annoys his coworkers, endangers his students, ruins lives, lies, steals, probably cheats when possible, focuses only on himself, gives absolutely ludicrously terrible advice........... what more could you want to write about? Also, his various crimes were never made public and his victims never found, informed, or compensated, which is such a wonderful dangling tread to pull.

If you're looking for direction on my favorite characters — because some people do! — you really can't go wrong with Hermione, Luna, Harry, Draco, Ron, Sirius, or the Weasley twins... but really I'm here for Lockhart content! I would be delighted to receive different characters, OCs, and/or extremely minor canon characters. I have received fic for this prompt using characters not on that list and it was amazing. Whoever your fave is, whoever you think is most interesting? I'm sure they'll be great!

Ling Yao & Mei Chang (hurt Mei)

(This is just my wholeass prompt from hurt/comfort pasted here...hurt!Ling is also very welcome and so is fic that isn't hurt/comfort but this is what I already had written so this is what you get.)

You know that part after the Promised Day where Mei is crying because she's glad her Amestrian friends didn't die and all but she failed to get the philosopher's stone so now her whole clan is totally fucked? And then Ling promises to help her and protect her clan and your heart grows three sizes? That scene is a DIRECT HIT to my id. It's literally the iddiest scene in FMA for me. Sorry, all those other scenes, but THIS is the best scene. When I watch that episode alone I sometimes rewind to rewatch that scene! Sometimes more than once!

What I'm saying is, I'm really into the idea of Ling Yao being Mei's big brother despite all the obstacles and I really love unexpected kindness/mercy and I also really love that Mei's clan is poor and weak while Ling's clan is rich and powerful. It's excellent! It's so good!

I'm interested in both canon compliant fics and canon divergent fics for these freeforms but will probably only prompt one or the other because uhh I really need to post this letter lol. Also, I'm okay with Greed!Ling & Mei if you want — feel free to very vaguely handwave Greed surviving if you're writing post-canon. Or don't! I could go either way.

• Character expects to be punished for failure but is shown unexpected concern — Maybe Ling becomes emperor without him and Mei actually managing to have that nice scene after the Promised Day, so Mei gets to be surprised by Ling's kindness later and more dramatically!

• Comforting Out of Obligation Turns Into Real Sympathy — Where "comforting" can also be taken to mean "rescuing" or "protecting", I suppose.
• Lying So That The Other Will Accept Comfort Or Help — Ling hides his identity, maybe! Or lies about why he's in Amestris! Or literally anything.
• Soulbond Forms During Moments of Extreme Empathy — They feel the same thing so strongly that it gives them a platonic soul bond.
• Surprised Not To Be Viewed As An Enemy
• Character makes a mistake and expects the worst due to past experiences; is met with gentle kindness — The former emperor was presumably not a forgiving man, so of course it would catch Mei off guard when Ling is different!
• A is too uncertain of their place in B's life to directly ask for direly needed help — Sure, Ling SAID he'd help...and he's emperor now so he totally has the power to do so....but Mei balks at the idea of actually being so arrogant as to believe the emperor of Xing will really help her.
• Character Comforts By Taking Immediate Action To Solve The Problem

I love Olivier and I want to know so much more about her and her life! Most of my gen prompts are therefore just, like, questions, sorry! I find Olivier really fascinating and generally would just love any focus on her being a completely uncompromising woman who knows what she's about.

• What was Olivier's early career like? How long did it take her to rise up in the ranks? Who was the most incompetent commanding officer Olivier every had, and how did she cope?
• Running Briggs must be complicated and involve not just a lot of military prowess but also civilian-side logistics! What kinds of problems did Olivier face when she took that command? Do the pipes freeze, the fuel supply run low, the roads become completely impassible at the worst times? Is spring a muddy, horrible mess? Has Olivier made any changes to the fort since she took over?
• What's Olivier's relationship with members of her family besides Alex?
• I requested Olivier for Hate Exchange! Prompts for Olivier & Alex, Olivier &/Roy, Olivier & Anyone she hates.

Okay, although obviously these are different ships, I am looking for more or less the same things with both of them:

• Xing court politics
• Xing inter- and intra-clan politics
• a focus on differing status/social class/economic brackets within a relationship
• competence kink and generally exploring how these characters do their jobs (and indeed what those jobs even are!)
• friendship, complex familial relationships, any kind of emphasis on these characters having known each other in wildly different contexts before getting married
• characters trying to do their duty at the same time as feeling, whoof, a LOT of feelings
• pining, ok, definitely lots of pining

Maybe you look at that list and you don't care about Xing court politics but you DO care about pining — or the other way around — and I am SO down for that! You definitely don't have to try and include everything on that list and you don't have to be into every pairing I've selected, I just wanted to get the repetitive bits out of the way.

I would be interested in post-canon fics or fics that take place in a verse where canon didn't happen. I am fine with all of these ships happening at the same time as long as Mei and Ling don't have any romantic or sexual contact, but obviously I don't require that — I like them just fine on their own!!

• Lan Fan/Ling Yao — I love these characters individually and as a ship I think there are so many really really interesting stories that can be told. I love Ling's ambition and protectiveness and how responsible he feels for the people under his care and I love how devoted Lan Fan is and how she literally cuts her own arm off oh my god she's so hardcore. If you want harem politics I'm down for that, if you're not into it that's fine too. Also...pining. Could they please pine.
• Lan Fan&/Mei — ENEMIES TO ALLIES TO FRIENDS (TO LOVERS)!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay now that we've got the obvious out of the way, hell yes, I love these two and as interesting as they are apart they'd be even more interesting together! Lan Fan is an extremely driven, devoted person who's willing to literally kill Mei the first time they meet even though Mei is so young, and Mei is determined and brave and skilled and I would just REALLY love to see them fumble their way towards being closer and trusting and understanding each other! Also, post-canon would be wonderful but I'd love to see any of these take place in a canon divergence where they never met in Amestris so they're full-on enemies or strangers.
