My basic fic preferences tend towards plotty casefic and character-driven slice of life. I also have an intense love of worldbuilding — not to say I expect you to get deep into magic ninja politics or anything in this 1000 word exchange! I'm just saying, if you love explaining things I love explanations.

Art likes can be found on my Person of Interest request, because that's the only art request I have — although if you're looking to treat, I would definitely love art in general! It's not a requested medium for the rest of my requests because I didn't think I picked very good visual tropes and I didn't want to stump my creator.

Generally what I would love to see for Katarina being hurt is anything that addresses her low self-esteem or her catastrophizing, anything that shows her relationship with other characters deepening, and anything where her friends/love interest(s) stand up for her or support her.

Additionally:

I've really enjoyed the couple fics I've read that involve Katarina interacting with the "canon" version of Fortune Lover where the original Katarina is a villainess for real, and I would love anything along those lines! Original Katarina Claes is basically Mirrorverse!Katarina, right? Also, same for Gerald, who seems to have been quite an unpleasant person.
Since there's canonical mind control, I'd love to see the characters run into more trouble with that — either characters controlled with dark magic posing a threat to Katarina, or Katarina herself being controlled.
If you're up for it, more fantasy politics or magic mechanics are always welcomed.
Canon divergence: When Keith comes to be the Claes heir, Katarina's mom talks about leaving her husband and taking Katarina away with her. What if that had actually happened?

I'm particularly interested in Maria's low status in society compared to the company she's keeping, in the contrast between her very humble origins and the prestige and upward social mobility that her strong Light magic grants her, and in the problems that develop from the natural friction of such wildly different things colliding.

Does Maria struggle with noble social etiquette? Katarina has had many, many lectures on the subject from her mother and... presumably learned some manner.... or would at least be able to set Maria up with lessons or something.
Have there been times when the scholarship budget, although perfectly adequate to see Maria through school, hasn't been able to cover all of Maria's not-quite-necessary expenses, such as social outings, non-school uniforms, etc? Maybe the scholarship doesn't cover transportation to and from school and Maria runs into trouble.
In addition to their contrasting social statuses, I think one could get a lot of mileage out of Katarina's frequent disregard of noble social etiquette and willingness to roll her sleeves up and literally get dirty.
Original Katarina Claes and other characters from the Fortune Lover universe as the "Mirrorverse" versions of themselves would be great, especially with a focus on a hurt Maria. Maybe Maria could swap around instead of Katarina?
I'd also be interested at a look at something where Katarina remembers her previous life much later, such as when they're already at school and Maria is being victimized, or something set entirely in the Fortune Lover universe with Gerald protecting Maria from Original Katarina and her mean entourage.

Naruto

Fandom note: As a quick reminder, references to Boruto are in my DNWs — I haven't seen it, so that content would be wasted on me. On a related note, the end of Naruto, with Kaguya and stuff, didn't really do much for me, so I'm happy to pretend Madara was the final villain, although if your story idea depends on late canon stuff or if you really love it, I'm not opposed to receiving it!

Also, I've asked for some time travel, so if you find yourself in need of a timeline of Naruto canon (which I know I do every time I write), good news, I have the goods! For this request I'm 100% down with Izuna and/or Madara dying permanently, and either or both of them doing so won't cross my character death DNW. I'd like the hurt/comfort to primarily focus on the emotional stuff, taking place after it's been decided that there's nothing to do for the wound but wait for it to kill Izuna. Fevers from infections and stuff welcome.

Here's my hot take on Izuna's death: Madara prioritized Izuna's wishes over his own dreams and over the entire rest of the clan, while Izuna prioritized the clan and his hatred of the Senju over Madara. Izuna's death has always struck me as really deliciously tragic in the "you were pretty much doomed to this by your character flaws" way, so I nominated them like this because I would love to see that dug into. Their ideals and goals and hopes for the future are opposed and they hurt each other and it's delicious.

A strictly canon compliant fic with Izuna dying slowly from the wound Tobirama gave him while comforting Madara that at least they didn't make the mistake of trusting the Senju would be great, I'd die of happiness.
Maybe you don't want to kill Izuna, though? In that case, I'd love anything concerning the aftermath of Madara deciding (maybe after some time travel, but maybe just because) that actually Izuna's consent doesn't matter and he would like Hashirama to save Izuna's life.
Maybe you want to kill Izuna more than once? I'd love to see a time loop where Madara fails at saving Izuna again and again until he has to accept that Izuna will die on Senju blades because Izuna will never stop fighting Senju. For this specific scenario I will also gladly waive my suicide DNW because I think it would be incredibly in-character for Madara to fail to save Izuna because Izuna killed himself before Hashirama could provide medical attention.
Or, maybe Madara travels back in time and successfully avoids Izuna dying because of that one specific fight (maybe by getting stabbed himself and then accepting Hashirama's medical attention?) but Izuna eventually dies anyway, possibly because he turns against the village.
Izuna as the time traveller/looper would also be very interesting.

Hashirama comforting people! Potentially against their will! \o/ I'm okay with Hashirama/Madara being gen, but I would like no shipping with Izuna. I'm especially interested in seeing how Hashirama can bend the usual rules of society and go against the grain

Like the Madara & Izuna prompt above, I'd love to see anything about Madara deciding to override Izuna's refusal of medical attention and ask Hashirama to save Izuna's life anyway. The angst! The betrayal!
I'd also like to see any situation where Izuna or Madara are captured by some third party and Hashirama helps them. Maybe Izuna is being held for ransom against the Uchiha and Madara asks Hashirama for help because his father won't okay an Uchiha-led rescue plan and the fic is about them teaming up?
The Senju capture Izuna or Hashirama and Hashirama has to put a lot of effort into protecting and healing him without letting on to Butsuma that he's keeping Izuna alive and planning to get him home to the Uchiha.

Tobirama and Madara interacting is so iddy for me no matter the details. I have a particular weakness for canon divergence for them, taking place before the village or avoiding Izuna's death somehow, although something darker and harder set after Izuna's death would also be great!

Maybe one intervenes to keep the other from being kidnapped/held captive, but does so only out of obligation to Hashirama... only for them to find themselves getting along, or at least working together well.
Tobirama and Madara both find themselves in a town that's been a hotbed of Jashinist activity, each trying to investigate for their own reasons while keeping a wary eye on the other... and then everything goes to shit.
One of them is in a timeloop and takes forever to ask the other one for help.
While visiting a cold climate — the mountains between Land of Fire and Land of Lightning? The northern, mountainous stretch of the Land of Wind? — one of them saves the other from freezing to death.
Soulbonds — You don't have to use this and I would love to see whatever you come up with instead, but here's a brief explanation of what I think about when I read this freeform:

Two people feeling the same feeling at the same time in the same place can form a spiritual bond. Combat partners and teams often create shallow, temporary versions of this bond that aid in reading each others' actions and status across the battlefield, but deeper bonds are possible from deeper emotions, like sharing the same grief or the same love.

Deeply bonded people share emotions and usually make very excellent battlepairs. The loss of a deep bond can be incredibly awful and unbalancing as spiritual energy tries to lean on something that's no longer there.

Other interpretations of the tag seriously are fine, though. I'd be excited to check out a different version of this concept. Anything where Madara and Tobirama feel the same thing at the same kind and end up with a soulbond would be wonderful.

I love Team 7... and I kind of feel like Sai and Tenzou are definitely Team 7 members, but probably don't quite realize it. I also deeply love Kakashi h/c, because... obviously. Anything with Team Feels or grappling with the Sai and Tenzou trying to get used to being regular, non-ROOT/non-ANBU ninja would be swell. If you're into writing in-universe documents, a story told completely in mission report format would be super cool.

(Also I know a couple people in the exchange have read Silver Queen's Dreaming of Sunshine, and I'm definitely open to recursive DoS fic, although it's 100% not required, obviously.)

I'd love to see Kakashi or Sai be sick/in need of medical attention in some way and then proceed to be terrible patients for their comforters. My preference would be that the illness be something that's not contagious, for example hypothermia, fever from a bad cut, drug/poison side effects, or the results of ill-conceived jutsu experimentation. I'd also be interested in a focus on what terrible caretakers certain comforters would be! Sakura and Naruto would probably have the best time, followed by Sasuke, but Tenzō and Sai?
Or: Sai's comfort for Kakashi being insincere but very seriously attempted because Kakashi's hurt is emotional in origin and Sai doesn't get it but he's trying his hardest to do the right thing.
Tenzō and Sai navigating trying to be people together; Tenzō teaching Sai things he learned when he got out of ROOT. I'd be particularly interested in a soulbond for Sai and Tenzō, brought on by them understanding each other.
Team 7 trying to introduce Sai to team bonding, either in the figurative sense of them being his support system or in the literal soul-bond sense.
Sasuke discovering that Sai is secretly an Uchiha is a fic plot I could literally never read enough of.
I didn't choose any time travel or dimension travel freeforms because none of them felt quite right, but I'd also absolutely be interested in pretty much any version of that.

I think about The Long Way Down Job (s4e1 — they go look for the dead guy on a mountain) and The French Connection Job (s5e4 — Parker plays a food critic) all the time in terms of Eliot and Parker's relationship and Parker's character development... and also to a lesser extent Eliot's development, because I think connecting with Parker and teaching her how to take care of herself is a really important part of him connecting to the team and deciding he needs them.

What other things has Parker taken it upon herself to do because Nate, Sophie, and/or Hardision wouldn't be able to make the hard choice and do it? Do she and Eliot do things together?
I think it's incredibly likely that in the past, Parker has done some pretty morally questionable/outright terrible things to survive. Maybe one of them comes back to bite her and she and Eliot have to handle it together? Maybe she needs his advice about how to let it go, or his assurance that she did what she had to do?
During The French Connection Job, Eliot tells Parker that cooking helped him feel again, and I'm interested in seeing cooking/food used to cope and comfort. Maybe Eliot teaches her to cook, or maybe she practices being a food critic more with him. I'd also be content just to have Eliot cooking while they have a conversation about something else because I'm a sucker for domestic Leverage scenes.
Also, I love all parts of Leverage so much, so no need to even stress about making sure that a gen Eliot & Parker relationship is the main or only focus of your fic. I'll totally accept and celebrate anything with one (1) Eliot-comforts-Parker scene, regardless of what else is going on in the fic.

I think Fusco and Parker would have a lot of interesting friction, especially because they're essentially two people who chose to be better people over the course of their shows.
The idea of Parker and Shaw trying to comfort each other is inherently hilarious.
Maybe a former Leverage client calls Parker for help with the same thing that's made the Machine give Finch and John their number.

I've got the most warm fuzzy feelings towards the version of the team with Ziva and DiNozzo on it, but I'm current with the show and do like the main cast right now as well. I also will definitely keep up with episodes that come out between now and work reveals, so don't worry about spoilers or anything, not that you have to include any backstory developments or anything that we get between now and then.

Parker (Leverage) & Any Superhero (MCU) (hurt Parker or hurt other)

I've definitely missed some amount of this canon but I'm familiar with most of the movies and most of the Netflix TV shows and have definitely read enough fic to keep up with any character you want to write. Also, I nominated this asking for superheroes, but take as broad of a definition on that as you want and even go for non-superhero definitely-good guys if that's your preference — characters like Pepper Potts and Claire Temple are welcome!

I'd encourage you to just go with whatever 616 character you're really into (and maybe rec me some specific issues to check out for them in your author's note!) but if you want to write something I'm definitely familiar with, I've recently reread Matt Fraction's run of Hawkeye, I've read an embarrassingly significant portion of every comic Gambit has ever been in, and it's weird but I love J. Jonah Jameson.

Parker (Leverage) & Any Character (Any Fandom) (hurt Parker or hurt other)

Generally I prefer... hm how to phrase this... more realistic crossovers? I really like it when the two fandoms could definitely coexist in the same universe with a minimum of handwaving, or else when the fandom has a canonical way to bring the two together (eg, time travel, dimension travel). But if you have an idea for a more out-there crossover, go for it! Crossovers I never would have thought of are one of the great joys of fanfiction for me.

There are a lot of good parts to Person of Interest but Bear is one of my favorites. He's a good boy and a member of the team and the fact that he's Harold's support animal makes me so happy. Also, he counts as a puppy because I have it on good authority that all dogs are puppies forever.

Art likes: Soft colors! Think in the range of this green and its complimentary color? I think they're really relaxing to look at, especially for happy scenes, although for more tense pictures I'm a fan of high contrast and interesting, detailed light sources. I like cartoon-y styles and more realistic styles, although I'd prefer not to receive super deformed/chibi art. Also, one of my favorite things in any art style are small, character-building details — like, if the character has a book, which book do they have? If they're in bed, what's their bedroom like? ...Hopefully this is a good and helpful amount of art likes, but please rest assured I'm going to love and enthuse about anything with Bear and Finch.

In case you want some prompts for what to draw, here are some thoughts!

I think pretty much any picture of Finch and Bear doing stuff together, especially in public, could count as being comforted with puppies, considering Reese canonically gave Bear to Finch to help him recover from his kidnapping! I'd love to see them sitting in the park or waiting in line for coffee or even just walking down the street with Bear sticking close or being petted.
Finch probably tells himself that Bear is absolutely not allowed on the bed but then gives into the inevitable, maybe because of a particularly bad night. Reese is obviously also welcome in the bed.
Although I'm sure Finch frequents a groomer to have Bear washed, there are probably some circumstances where that's not possible, so seeing him have bath time with Bear would be great.
It would be interesting to see any of these in the style of security videos accessed by the Machine!
