Unconventional Fanworks Exchange 2021
May. 7th, 2021 10:02 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Hi! Thanks for creating for me, or for otherwise taking a look at my letter. I’m fencesit on AO3!
You may notice that I have less details or prompts for some fandoms/ships/mediums than others. Please don't take this as an indication that I want those things any less than other things! I very much desperately want everything I've requested. And: please don't feel like you need to follow one of my prompts to keep from disappointing me. I've provided all the information below in an attempt to help my writer feel confident in producing a gift for me, but if prompts and extra details don't work for you then feel free to ignore them.
Treats
- I would be happy to accept treats in any medium in the tagset, although there are some I will be politely baffled to receive (I don't know how to cross stich, for example, lmao).
- Treats with audio or video components in mediums I haven't requested may take me longer to consume than written or static visual works.
DNW:
DNWs for mediums under the "Fandom -" category
Mediums under the "Fandom" category will produce works describing, analyzing, listing, or otherwise directly engaging with the canon of whatever fandom you've chosen. I don't expect you to compromise on engaging with your canon because I really want you to make the best work you can, and it wouldn't be fair or enjoyable for either of us for you to have to bend yourself into a pretzel trying to, idk, explain Game of Thrones things without mentioning incest.
Therefore, if you're making a work for me in a medium under the "Fandom -" category, I DNW:
- mention/discussion of vehicle accidents, dissociation, suicide/suicidal ideation, or archive warnings without content warnings (tags or author's note is fine!)
- images of real injuries or blood (including small scratches or bruises)
- images of real dead things (including taxidermy, skeletons, and animal bones/skulls, but not including food-context things)
- any visual of vehicle accidents, including images, gifs, doodles, etc
DNWs for all other mediums:
- unrequested AUs
- canon divergence is okay
- cannibalism or vore
- necrophilia (ghost sex is fine)
- PWP
- sounding
- rimming
- bodily waste
- suicide/suicidal ideation
- it's fine for a time looping character to kill themself to start a new loop, if that's a mechanic you want to include, as long as they're doing it to deliberately reset the loop rather than in hopes of dying for good.
- vehicle accidents
- detailed or graphic descriptions/depictions of wounds, medical procedures, torture, etc.
- unrequested explicit noncon
- Implied/referenced is fine! It's fine as a source of hurt, I just don't want noncon porn unless I ask for it.
- anal tearing or other serious injury during sex
- incest (mentions of canonical incest are fine)
- sex scenes with underage (under 18) characters or adults being attracted to minors
- feel free to fudge timelines or just not mention ages specifically, though
- permanent noncanonical character death of major canon characters (except villains)
- dissociation, which includes:
- derealization — An alteration in the perception or experience of the external world so that it seems unreal.
- depersonalization — The persistent feeling of observing oneself from outside one’s body or having a sense that one’s surroundings/body aren't real.
- Typically dissociation shows up as reaction to stress or trauma where the character experiencing it feels disconnected in some way from their emotions, their body, reality, etc; sometimes the character acts on autopilot.
- If you're writing/drawing a character who's literally having an out of body experience (like, because they're a ghost and something else has taken over their body) or dealing with an actual fake world (like, because they're trapped in a magical illusion) then that's okay.
- magically preserved non-rotting undead like vampires or skeletons are fine
- please see SVSSS section for clarification notes.
- including using characters from other canons as stand-ins for OCs, even if the character or their appearance in the fic is very minor.
- including borrowing worldbuilding/magic systems/artifacts/alien races/etc.
- definitely fine for characters to know about or reference anything you think it's reasonable for them to have consumed as media, e.g. modern mundane characters have probably heard of Star Wars.
Naruto DNWs/clarifications
- Relationships/plot development/worldbuilding from Boruto
SVSSS DNWs/clarifications
- characters finding out that they're fictional
- the rotting undead/zombies clarification: TLJ kind of falls into this category but I love him and he can definitely show up! Please gently skirt around any gross details about his poor sad plant body — mentions of his limbs falling off are fine, but description of why exactly they won't stay attached is best left implied.
Murderbot DNWs/clarifications:
- Romantic or sexual ships with Murderbot
- vehicle accidents clarification: space ships crashing in space is fine; space ships crashing onto planets is fine; I DNW crashes involving vehicles mostly used for on-planet transport, even if those vehicles fly.
- dissociation clarification: something successfully overriding Murderbot's control of his body with some sneaky code wouldn't cross this DNW as long as it's clear to the reader that the character isn't literally dissociating.
Likes
Art likes
- soft colors, and also specifically moss green and all shades of purple, especially for slice-of-life and domestic pictures
- lineless art and thick lines and messy lines!
- dramatic lighting, especially if the moment is tense or dangerous
- cartoony styles
- realistic styles
- movement and foreshortening
- crosshatching, stippling, visible brushstrokes, and other techniques that let me see what the artist physically did with their pencil/brush/digital equivalent
- that thing where it's all back and white or greyscale except for one (1) color
- art that explores the minutiae of a character's life, like what exactly is on their bookshelf or in their bag
Fic likes:
- Canon divergence
- slice of life, canon-compliant fic, missing scenes from canon
- time travel
- especially peggy sue/with a fix-it focus
- time loops
- (see much longer list below in its own section!)
- fake/fantasy politics/science and explorations of systems/relationships (eg magic systems, fictional governments or economies, the local gossip network)
- character backstory, noodle incidents, references to past canon or noncanon events, a sense of history between two (or more) characters
- vivid/specific details that relate to things like where a character is, what that location is used for, why, and how the character feels about it
- casefic/missionfic
- investigations/mysteries
- characters with specific goals or problems to solve (finding some treasure, getting a glass of water, murdering their nemesis)
- monster/murder/crime-of-the-week type plots
- the enemy of my enemy is my friend
- making friends under unusual circumstances
- A being uncertain of or surprised by how deep B's loyalty runs
- found family
- friends reconnecting after being out of contact for a long time
- signs of familiarity/intimacy, like knowing each other's habits really well or feeling comfortable touching them/being touched in a society where that's notable
- in terms of physical hurt: sprained ankles, dislocated shoulders, concussions, bruised/broken ribs, broken bones where the bone isn't sticking out, blood loss....pretty much anything non-permanent and not too gorey or with the gore skimmed over. special mention for Naruto-esque eye loss where it's traumatic and bad but the eye can just be put back in if they find a good medic.
- also as implied by my DNWs I'm not a big fan of sickfic but I love huddling for warmth and hypothermia fic!
- poisonings and venom are also good — I like a good spout of dizziness or swooning or confusion!
- in terms of emotional hurt: self esteem issues and unexpected mercy! Special mention for everything below.
- character convinced no one would help even if they asked (but someone does help!)
- character convinced there will be no rescue (but there is a rescue!)
- usually powerful character is helpless due to drugs (and at the mercy of someone they don't trust? :D)
- cynical/pessimistic/distrustful characters being proven wrong by things turning out better than they could have hoped for — for example: "I could never be loved!" -> Is absolutely loved, "We could never have peace." -> Peace is had
- aftermath of captivity, torture, rape, isolation, etc.
- injured character can't complete rescue mission without help from unlikely source
- lying so that the other will accept comfort or help
- hands too shaky to complete task
- forcing exhausted character to get some sleep
- characters who have to work hard to function in the same space and also characters who don't like each other — see my Hate Exchange letter!
- handcuffed together
- sharing a bed because they're safer together than apart
- captured together, working together in enemy territory
- 5+1
- drabble series
- outsider POV
- second person POV, especially if it's thematically relevant
- I'm not really into letters or social media fics, but articles, essays, textbooks, mission/case records, and wikipedia entries are all great.
- I've never received interactive fiction/CYOA before but I'm down to try it!
- I'm open to a mix of text and images and I view works with the creator's skin enabled. I do sometimes download my gifts or read them on mobile, however, so I appreciate when unconventional works use tricks like display:none (explained in this tutorial in the "What do I do if the Creator's Style is hidden?" section) which also makes works with HTML/embedded pictures more accessible!
- curses
- garbage-tier magical items
- extra senses
- worldbuilding around learning/doing magic
Ship likes:
- Anything on my general likes list is excellent in shipfic too of course. Also, I am a pretty big fan of understated shipfic — if you just put the characters together and show that they care about each other then I don't even need kissing or anything, really, which I think can work well for fandoms where characters are frequently in life-or-death situations or need to be professional. Not that kissing isn't welcome! Just, I am extremely easy to please on the "Is this shippy enough?" front.
- Slow burn, friends to lovers, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers — The slower the better. FWB-to-lovers is also great.
- Characters who have history with each other — established relationships are good, but what I really love is feeling like the characters know each other well and think about each other often. In characters who are already friends, that probably looks like, say, knowing what kind of coffee the other person likes. In characters who were enemies, they probably know each other’s weaknesses and faults really well.
- Arguments where each person thinks the conversation is about something subtly different — I mean, misunderstandings in general are great for tension, but I like it when characters are trying to communicate but they’re coming from perspectives so different that they can’t even argue without clarification.
- Casual physical affection — a lot of my ships involve people who have massive or very specific personal bubbles, so seeing the way the characters touch each other when they’re not already in Kissing Mode is really great.
- Pining, especially longstanding they-could-never-want-me pining — the id wants what the id wants and what the id wants is characters with low self-worth. Bonus points if it's tied up in some kind of misunderstanding about their relationship (eg, "They hate me!" or "I'm ugly!") or their differing rank/species/wealth/etc.
- When their hands touch and other very understated moments of romantic or sexual tension — aaaaaaa I don't even have words for how much I love this, if you include it I will wail happily at you about it in my comment, possibly at length.
Smut likes
I don't usually request smut but if you want to include it then I don't mind. I know that that's kind of an extremely bland and unenthusiastic way to start out but it's, uh, really honest, at least? I'm usually after character interaction, plot, or worldbuilding with my requests, but getting a sex scene along with other stuff definitely wouldn't ruin a gift. Overall, I want you to feel free to write sex if you would enjoy doing so/if you think the fic will be better with it! I'm generally just enthused by my writer getting to have fun writing something they're proud of, you know?
There are obviously some things I do like, and I know some folks really enjoy tailoring their fic (i'm one of them!) so:
- Extremely emotionally charged sex — No matter what kind of sex acts they do, I really love when the sex has a lot of feelings involved, especially if it's sad emotions or desperation or part of some hurt/comfort or whump.
- Sex that's very directly relevant to the plot or character arcs — I love sex scenes where I learn more about a character or relationship. Is 'character driven smut' a thing? Because if so, that's my favorite. And also porn with plot.
- anal and pegging, PIV, frottage, intercural, handjobs, all kinds of fingering, strapons, toys
- overstimulation and edging, orgasm delay/denial
- bondage — handcuffs, spreader bars, honor bondage, and honestly pretty much anything in the general category of restricting someone's movement during sex
- praise kink, loyalty kink, hurt/comfort, trust and sex otherwise overloaded with emotion
- magic/super powers being used in fun and inventive ways
- clothing/uniform kink, half-clothed sex, one naked and the other not.
- hair petting, cuddling, lazy mornings in bed, touch starvation
- size difference, size kink, come inflation, large insertions
- pregnancy, including mpreg — impregnation porn and pregnant sex welcome, eggpreg and het mpreg are also fine. And while we're talking about it, narratively speaking I love a fic where being pregnant/mpregnant is upsetting because the character didn't plan for it, thinks their partner doesn't want it, conceived in a nonconsensual or dubiously consensual way, can't afford it, etc, all of which could be comforted away with or without sex. I'm not much for birthing scenes.
- probably other things that I'm forgetting! I'm pretty open to a bunch of things that aren't on the above list or mentioned in my DNWs, and if you're unsure if you should include something please feel free to ask through the mods.

Creator's Choice of Fandom
AO3 matching tag: Creator's Choice of Fandom
Fandom note: I'm REALLY into meta and frequently consume it for fandoms I've never even heard of before. Last round my request like this one for just ship manifestos went super well, so I'm expanding this request!
It's pretty likely I won't be into the fandom you're writing about, so if you have the time to add some fandom primer stuff to it (eg, where can I find it, should I watch/read the installments in a certain order, where does the cool part of the fandom hang out) then I would really appreciate that, especially if your fandom is rare, obscure, and/or foreign.
The pinned post on my Dreamwidth does have a list of fandoms I'm familiar with or have osmosed, so if you check that you might be able to save yourself some work, but let me stress again that I would LOVE to get a fill for this request telling me all about some aspect of a fandom I've never heard of.
Requested character(s)/ship(s):
- Group: Creator's Choice of / Ship
- Group: Creator's Choice of & Ship

Shipping note: Do literally whatever you want, completely ignoring anything else I say about shipping in this letter or on EAD or whatever.

Fandom - Character Analysis
Tell me all about your fave!!!! or your least fave. Or a minor character you think has been overlooked. Or just...whoever you're lowkey obsessed with. Here are some questions in case you need a place to start:
- What makes them tick — why do you think they do the things they do?
- What do you think of the way they treat other people?
- Are there any prevalent misconceptions about them you'd love to clear up?
- What's the worst thing they've ever done?
- Do they have a foil/are they a different character's foil?
- What's the saddest thing about them?
- Who do they get along with the best/the worst and why?
- What do you think their character arc is? What do you wish it had been?
- Did the narrative ever do them dirty?
Fandom - Fandom Primer
I think one of the hardest things to do is get into a new fandom and I wish that fandom primers were more of a thing! For this freeform I would just really love to know what your fandom is all about and how I can get into it. Maybe try to answer questions like...
- What is the premise? Does it have any sweet sweet tropes?
- Who are the main characters? What are the big ships, if there are any?
- Where do people post fanfiction/fanart? Are there any other kinds of fanworks that are popular in the fandom?
- Where do people talk and what do they talk about? Do they use any jargon/abbreviations/other special vocab?
- I'm not expecting an in-depth history or anything, but is it a new or old fandom? If it's old, and you've been around for awhile, how has it changed?
- If you're comfortable talking about your own fannish experience, why do you like the fandom?
For our purposes I think the definition of "fandom" can be pretty lose — if all the shippers of your favorite ship stick together and that's the only part of your fandom you know, tell me about the A/B fandom! Or, if you're into some kind of fannish subculture like fantranslating stuff or cosplay or Skyrim modding or, I don't know, really loving the hell out of theme parks or something, I'll take a fandom primer on that!
Other notes:
- Don't worry about spoilers.
- If your fandom is a video game, I'll be easier to lure if you can point me at a good let's play.
- If your fandom is a podcast, I'll be easier to lure if you can point me to transcripts.
- For your convenience, I will mention that I live in the US and I have Netflix and Amazon Prime. Also cable.
- Although, really, don't feel like you have to limit yourself to fandoms you think you can lure me into, I'd also be excited just to hear all about a corner of fandom I'm not a part of!
Fandom - Meta About A Popular Trope Or Piece Of Fanon
When I nominated this I was thinking about a trope specific to your fandom, but on further reflection I'll actually also definitely take meta about more general tropes, too! I'm interested to know things like:
- Do you like or hate this trope/fanon?
- Why do you think it's popular?
- Where did it come from?
- Do you have any recs for good examples of the trope or fanon?
Fandom - Meta About Something That Disappointed You
Yes, I'm basically asking you to complain at me. Some of the best meta I've read is just people being salty as fuck that canon did them dirty, so I'd LOVE to know what's been bothering you about your canon. Things like:
- The ending SUCKED and you're NEVER going to be over it.
- Your fave is a victim of OOC writing because the writing room of your show is full of hacks.
- They COULD have resolved this plot hole, but did they? No, of course not.
- That minor character was amazing and it's a crime they didn't come back again and again.
- They made your ship canon but they're TERRIBLE at writing romance so they just absolutely ruined everything you liked about it.
Fandom - Meta About Something That Delighted You
For balance with the above! Please tell me what you love about something fannish.
- What did your fandom do well?
- What do you love about your fandom?
- What gets you really, really excited?
Fandom - Platonic Relationship Analysis
Fandom - Ship Analysis
Fandom - Team Analysis
I think there's some fuzziness between this and ship manifestos — I think you could write a gen manifesto to argue for how dang good characters are as platonic found family, for instance — but if I had to guess at the biggest difference I think that this freeform doesn't argue for the existence of/recognition of a ship of any kind, but instead probably looks at a (specifically platonic) relationship that already exists and digs into it...which sounds rad!
Given that I probably don't know your fandom I confess I'm hoping for background on who the characters are and lots of canon excerpts, but that's not strictly necessary of course. Here are some questions about whatever platonic relationship you have in mind in case you want a direction to go in:
- Are the characters primarily family, friends, coworkers, enemies...? Would they each give the same answer to that question at all times throughout canon?
- What do they think of each other, and what do they think the other thinks about them?
- What do the characters misunderstand about each other, and why?
- How has their relationship changed?
- What's their primary motivation for interacting?
- What kind of secrets, if any, do they keep?
- What interests you about their relationship?
Fandom - Ship Manifesto
I want to read SO MANY ship manifestos and it's a little hard to even write this section because I'm so excited about it! The ship manifestos I got last time were AMAZING so I'm so excited to request this again. In this section I will be using "ship manifesto" somewhat loosely to mean "any meta primarily focused on one or more character relationships" in an attempt to be as inclusive as possible for anything someone might want to write.
Please write whatever you want and ignore the below notes if you've got a good idea of where you're going already!
If you want a little direction, or are wondering what the limits are, then:
- Het, slash, femslash, and even queerplatonic or gen would be good. Also incest, poly, RPF, and anything else I'm forgotting!
- The crux of your manifesto is probably going to be something like "these characters are so good for each other" but it could be "these characters are terrible for each other" or "it's hot how dirtybadwrong this ship is, right?" and I will be equally happy. There's no bad reason for shipping!
- If you're a multishipper, please feel free to give me a multiship manifesto! Tell me why your fave is the best fandom bicycle. Muse on the many and increasingly unlikely ships between every member of the cast.
- Crossover ships extremely welcome.
Some things I'd love to know about your ship besides, you know, why you like it:
- What's your favorite scene for the pair? What scene do you think defines the characters/their relationship?
- If your canon has two or more mediums (books vs movie, anime vs manga, etc) you could compare the ship between the two (or more) mediums.
- If it's a juggernaut, what do you think the appeal is for most people? What are the big trends and common fanon assumptions?
- If it's a rarepair, are you the only one who ships it? What do you think the most likely get-together scenario is?
- What are your favorite fanworks?

In-Universe Media and Online - Map
I love maps! Something drawn by Airplane-Shooting-Towards-The-Sky or his fans for Proud Immortal Demon Way would be great, but so would something like maps from An Ding Peak showing the mountains, the other sects, the Demon Realm, etc.
In-Universe Publication - Work of Fiction
I'd love to read part of Proud Immortal Demon Way or fanfiction thereof; I'd also love to read some of The Resentment of the Chunshan. A full passage or several partial scenes would be equally appreciated.
In-Universe Publication - Wikipedia Article
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - /r/IAmA post
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Forum Thread(s)
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Wikipedia Article Talk Page
What does Wikipedia have to say about Proud Immortal Demon Way and did Peerless Cucumber ever fight anyone on a talk page? Did Airplane-Shooting-Towards-The-Sky ever do a Reddit AMA? What kind of forum discussions went on in the PIDW fandom? I would also be interested in fanwiki content instead of specifically Wikipedia.
Style - Second Person Point of View
Style - Interactive Fiction
Style - Non-Linear Narrative
I'm no thoughts brain empty about what to say about this but I just think it'd be really neat in this fandom, what with the System and the transmigration and the magic! No preference about what kind of IF you make. If you'd like to read SVSSS prompts from previous exchanges, those live here, but you can also just work off my likes!
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Meeting Minutes
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Oath of Office
For these I'd love something about life on the Peaks. What are Peak Lord meetings like? What kind of oaths did they take when they took the peaks over?
Naruto

Fandom note: I'm not very familiar or very interested in the end of the series, but feel free to borrow whatever you need from it for your fic! Per usual I don't want any Boruto content, and also I should maybe mention I haven't read any of the light novels so details from those might confuse me.

Naruto Mediums
Audio and/or Visual - 'A Softer World' Remix
I've always loved A Softer World's format! I don't have anything very specific to add to this... I suppose, if you want to, I would love to see original art for this... but anime caps would also be great! Also, feel free to give me ASW remixes about any character, not just the ones I've requested.
Audio and/or Visual - Comic
I'd love a regular, narrative comic about whatever you want, but I'd also enjoy a comic with lyrics, poetry, or some other quote over top! I like comics that show missing canon scenes, comics with action, and comics with little jokes.
Here are some narrative ideas:
- I would love a WCE fight! Shippy or non-shippy — what was it like to watch Madara and Hashirama fight from the sidelines? Did Madara and Tobirama ever fight?
- I would love to see Sakura punching some enemies, with or without help from the team.
- Itachi is a great source of both potential laughs (did he have awkward teenage years while being a missing nin?) and angst (...everything else about him) and I would love either. What kind of missions did he do besides bijū hunting? When/if he got downtime as a ninja, how did he like to spend it? Did he ever imagine a happy ending for himself?
- Sakura and Sasuke discover Naruto is missing some very common information
- Tell me a visual tale of the mission desk ninja! What ninja do they hate the most and why is it probably Kakashi? Did they get in trouble for not checking Tazuna's story better? How did the administration change between Hiruzen's tenure, then Minato, then back to Hiruzen, then Tsunade, etc?
- What items do you think one of my requested characters carries around with them all the time/on missions? Do you think it's changed over time? I'm imagining an illustrated version of the kinds of photos that go up in this flikr group.
- 5 times something has happened (+ one time it didn't, if you want)
Audio and/or Visual - Lyricstuck (Any Fandom)
Audio and/or Visual - Vid
I love vids and I love lyricstuck! I don't have any particular/specific requests because if you want to create either of these mediums for me I will be over the moon to receive them.
If you want to try to pick music I already know and like, some of my favorites are: Gregory Alan Isakov, Lord Huron, alt-j, The Killers, Talking Heads, David Byrne & St. Vincent's collab album "Love This Giant", Florence + the Machine, Electric President, Spoon, Regina Spektor, and...probably more that I'm forgetting! If you want more I'm sure I could think some more up, but I like being introduced to new music so please feel free to just pick one of your faves that you're excited about.
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Investigative Report
It's important for shinobi to be able to collect and streamline intel!
- Did anyone investigate the Uchiha Massacre? What about ROOT? I would love a canon divergence where someone blows the whole thing wide open, told via official report.
- Maybe a smaller problem, instead, like supplies going missing at the hospital, a mission going wrong, or a supply line being interrupted.
- OR an even smaller problem — a very serious report about Tsunade's favorite sake cup going missing or something?
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Mission Debrief/Transcript
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Mission Report
Mission hijinks!
- A Team 7 mission went off the rails so badly they have trouble filling out the normal paperwork.
- I don't imagine that the Akatsuki actually has formal mission report requirements beyond "Tell Pein what happened" but maybe Itachi was in the habit of submitting written reports when he joined.
- Someone has to try and fit their time travel, time loop, or dimension travel mission into a typical mission report.
- Naruto has a habit of taking on additional missions and clients whenever someone needs help, which always creates a mess.
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Police Report
I have to admit I selected this purely based on my need for pre-Uchiha Massacre fic and no Uchiha Massacre fic. I honestly don't care which characters are involved? I'd be down for mostly OCs? I just want worldbuilding for the Konoha Military Police really really bad.
I do wonder if Tsunade was ever arrested, though.
Also, I guess there are probably civilian police forces out there, so a police report from a civilian POV about some ninja stuff would also be great.
Style - Choose Your Own Adventure
Style - Interactive Fiction
Style - Non-Linear Narrative
These just seem like fun! I think you can scroll my likes and previous letters for an idea of the kind of plots I like. Weird gen match ups tend to be my favorite.
One idea though — I'd be really interested in a non-linear narrative presented that way because it's about someone using Holding Door Mind Transmission to uncover memories about something out of order!
The Adventure Zone (Podcast)
AO3 matching tag: The Adventure Zone (Podcast)
Fandom note: I think the McElroys have been careful not to overlap Balance, Amnesty, and Graduation's universes, so I would consider doing so a crossover. I think there may be some small exceptions (the goof about Clint McElroy the janitor, maybe?) but, well, I would really like things to stay as separate as possible! I like each one as its own thing, despite having piled them all in here like this.
Requested character(s)/ship(s):

Shipping note: I like all canon ships! In TAZ: Graduation I would also enjoy Fitzroy/Gray, if you'd be into that.
All Requested Mediums:
- I've split my mediums up into two different requests for different relationships, so please see below!
TAZ Request 1 (Gary & Gary & etc.)
Requested Characters:
- Group: Gary & Gary & Gary & Gary & Etc. (The Adventure Zone)
Requested Medium:

Style - First Person Plural Point of View
I think a fic from the point of view of the Gary hivemind would be really interesting! Pretty much any direction you want to take it in is fine — I'm curious to know if you think they've noticed anything weird about the school, how they get along with any of the other students/professors, what it's like to be a series of statues of indeterminate number and sentience, and if Pocket Garys or Outside Garys every feel weird about not getting to hang around inside with everyone else. Post-canon welcome!

In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Police Report
Some of these people are likely to do the investigating, others of them are really likely to end up on the wrong side of the law. Some of them are likely to do both! I really love this format and would be happy with any combination of characters+like list things, although some of the tags I've requested come with some obvious prompts:
- Agent Stern/Barlay might be my favorite TAZ ship because....FBI Agent/Bigfoot!!! And also they cohabitate in a bed and breakfast! I'd love excerpts from Agent Stern's reports or a report about them getting into trouble with some other branch of law enforcement.
- Necromancy leaves all kinds of chances for Barry to end up on the wrong side of the law and I am into all of them. I would especially love something about him leaving dead clones of himself all over the place. Maybe Kravitz could investigate, or maybe a more mundane law enforcement officer cottons on to the fact that a bunch of identical dudes keep dying?
- What kind of things did Angus investigate before canon? What about after?
- Tell me a tale of Ned evading the law.
- Who investigated the poisoning and what did they conclude?
- The one where the Tres Horny Boys get arrested for all that murdering.
- ...literally anything else!
Audio and/or Visual - Comic
A comic about something that happened before, during, or after canon would be lovely. I would enjoy a comic that lays the novels words over images or using the show's words. I really love seeing people's character designs for TAZ so I'll really enjoy a comic no matter what the subject matter!
Audio and/or Visual - Animatic
Audio and/or Visual - Lyricstuck (Any Fandom)
An animatic of any canon scene would be great, and any kind of lyricstuck would be wonderful too!
Original Works
AO3 matching tag: Original Works
Fandom note: I like non-mundane settings (fantasy, scifi, paranormal/supernatural, cultivation, etc) but otherwise have no preference! Modern day with magic, historytimes but with ghosts, etc, everything's fine! Uh, mundane cute animals are fine though haha.
Requested character(s)/ship(s):
- Group: Character Capable Of Causing Natural Disasters & Frustrated City Planner (OW)
- Group: Character Capable Of Causing Natural Disasters & Frustrated Mapmaker (OW)
- Cute Original Animal(s)

Shipping note: I'm asking for all gen here but feel free to put in background ships!
All Requested Mediums:

Original Works Request 1 (Maps)
Requested Characters:

- Group: Character Capable Of Causing Natural Disasters & Frustrated Mapmaker (OW)
Requested Medium:
- Audio and/or Visual - Map
Audio and/or Visual - Map
I'm imagining that the character capable of causing natural disasters is either a supervillain kind of deal or a mage coming into their powers — depending on how evil you want them to be with their natural disasters — and the thing that interests me about these two relationships is imagining the series of revisions and edits and planning board meetings and material delivery delays that are implied by this ship! I would prefer something pretty light-hearted, where the focus on the impact of the natural disasters is on how difficult it makes keeping maps/plans updated rather than on any massive, tragic loss of life. Feel free to use smaller natural diasters or just make the City Planner/Map Maker a horrible person. :D
Original Works Request 2 (Animals)
Requested Characters:
- Cute Original Animal(s)
Requested Mediums:
- Audio and/or Visual - Emoji Set
- Crafts and Games - Colouring Page
Audio and/or Visual - Emoji Set
I have discord nitro so animated icons are welcome! I really like bears (of all kinds, but especially grizzly bears) and snakes and bumblebees and elephants and raccoons. I would prefer no deer, cats, dogs, or monkeys, but if that's where your heart takes you I am sure I will still love the emoji anyway.
Crafts and Games - Colouring Page
Like above I'm interested in bears, snakes, bumblebees, elephants, and raccoons! I'd enjoy both traditional, like, animal standing in a background type things and more abstract stuff like floral or patterned backgrounds. If it's not too much trouble, I'd love a transparent PNG version that I could color on the computer (and I could show you, if you want!!!) but if you'd prefer not then just one I can print out would be great.

Okay I just don't have any specific medium prompts for these?
I'm sure whatever you make will be wonderful! I don't have a preference about format for IF, and I guess it'd be helpful to know that I'm okay if the /r/AmITheAsshole thread is on Fantasy Reddit or Space Reddit instead of normal reddit, as long as it has roughly the same format. Otherwise, knock yourself out!
The Murderbot Diaries

Murderbot Mediums
Audio and/or Visual - Blueprint
A space port, a space ship, Preservation's habitat from All Systems Red, etc! Maybe Dr. Mensah's office space on the Preservation space hub with security notes from Murderbot?
Audio and/or Visual - Infographic
I don't know what you could make an infographic about, I just love infographics.
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Investigative Report
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Judicial Opinion
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Legal Brief
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Meeting Minutes
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Officer's Log
For these I'm thinking outside POV on Murderbot and Murderbot's activities! Something from the Corporate Rim or from Preservation or from somewhere else would all be welcome, I just think it'd be a really interesting way to tell a new Murderbot story or fill in some of the blanks in the existing novels.
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Web Forum
Does Murderbot post on the fan forums for The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon? Do people on the Preservation station gossip about him on the equivalent of their local subreddit? I have a lot of nostalgia for forums, so I'm just very into this medium.
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Yuletide Request(s)
Preservation's local network should have a Yuletide fanwork exchange and I want to see Murderbot's request for The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon!
Audio and/or Visual - Comic
Style - Drone/Robot/AI Thought Process POV
Style - Interactive Fiction
Style - Non-Linear Narrative
Style - Second Person POV
This is basically a free space! I think these formats are neat and I would like a story in one of them. I have no preference about IF formats. I would like the Drone/Robot/AI thought process to be someone besides Murderbot since that's really standard for this fandom —I'm thinking someone like Ship or Miku or even ART.

Psych Mediums
Audio and/or Visual - Fanvid
Psych is just so fun, I would really enjoy pretty much any kind of upbeat vid! Any kind of music is fine. If you'd like to focus on something besides one of my relationships, a fine montage of pineapples would be welcome.
Audio and/or Visual - Map
Psych just seems like a great fandom to tell a casefic with a map. Something Shawn has jotted down on a series of napkins, or a very serious map Lassie has been working on that Shawn scribbles all over to solve the case? I'm down with something hand-drawn or a real world map with extra stuff on it.
In-Universe Fanwork - RPF
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Yuletide Request(s)
I really desperately want stuff for either of these mediums about Shawn's roll as Chad the package delivery guy on Explosión Gigantesca de Romance (from s03e13 "Lights Camera... Homicidio"). It doesn't need to be one of the requested characters writing the request, just in-universe fannish stuff!!

In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Library or Museum Catalog
In-Universe Professional and Academic Documents - Museum Exhibit Brochure
In-Universe Publication - Court Documents
In-Universe Publication - Wikipedia Article
In-Universe Social Media and Communication - Wikipedia Article Talk Page
I'm fascinated by outside views of the stuff Shawn gets up to and the way he definitely does lots of notable things that then get documented by random, completely reasonable people who don't have to deal with him every day. So that's what this request is! I'm interested in both stuff covering new adventures and things that tie into canon adventures (eg, I would be equally pleased by a museum brochure about the dinosaur Shawn and "Bruton Gaster" found, or a museum brochure about something else entirely!)
Style - Interactive Fiction
I just think it's neat! I have no preference for format.
Style - Spreadsheet
I bet Gus makes a lot of spreadsheets and I just love spreadsheets as a medium. What kind of spreadsheets does Gus make? Do he and Shawn share any spreadsheets?
