Ship likes:

Anything on my general likes list is excellent in shipfic too of course. Also, I am a pretty big fan of understated shipfic — if you just put the characters together and show that they care about each other then I don't even need kissing or anything, really, which I think can work well for fandoms where characters are frequently in life-or-death situations or need to be professional. Not that kissing isn't welcome! Just, I am extremely easy to please on the "Is this shippy enough?" front.
Slow burn, friends to lovers, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers — The slower the better. FWB-to-lovers is also great.
Characters who have history with each other — established relationships are good, but what I really love is feeling like the characters know each other well and think about each other often. In characters who are already friends, that probably looks like, say, knowing what kind of coffee the other person likes. In characters who were enemies, they probably know each other’s weaknesses and faults really well.
Arguments where each person thinks the conversation is about something subtly different — I mean, misunderstandings in general are great for tension, but I like it when characters are trying to communicate but they’re coming from perspectives so different that they can’t even argue without clarification.
Casual physical affection — a lot of my ships involve people who have massive or very specific personal bubbles, so seeing the way the characters touch each other when they’re not already in Kissing Mode is really great.
Pining, especially longstanding they-could-never-want-me pining — the id wants what the id wants and what the id wants is characters with low self-worth. Bonus points if it's tied up in some kind of misunderstanding about their relationship (eg, "They hate me!" or "I'm ugly!") or their differing rank/species/wealth/etc.
When their hands touch and other very understated moments of romantic or sexual tension — aaaaaaa I don't even have words for how much I love this, if you include it I will wail happily at you about it in my comment, possibly at length.

Smut likes

I don't usually request smut but if you want to include it then I don't mind. I know that that's kind of an extremely bland and unenthusiastic way to start out but it's, uh, really honest, at least? I'm usually after character interaction, plot, or worldbuilding with my requests, but getting a sex scene along with other stuff definitely wouldn't ruin a gift. Overall, I want you to feel free to write sex if you would enjoy doing so/if you think the fic will be better with it! I'm generally just enthused by my writer getting to have fun writing something they're proud of, you know?

There are obviously some things I do like, and I know some folks really enjoy tailoring their fic (i'm one of them!) so:

Extremely emotionally charged sex — No matter what kind of sex acts they do, I really love when the sex has a lot of feelings involved, especially if it's sad emotions or desperation or part of some hurt/comfort or whump.

Izuna was so against peace and so unwilling to trust Hashirama that he literally died for it so I would LOVE to see him be Like That with Hashirama. Maybe they do a sort of enemies-to-friends thing where Izuna realizes he's wrong...or maybe Izuna remains staunchly certain that Hashirama is his enemy! I would honestly enjoy either. Overall any kind of focus on how terrifying Hashirama is to other ninja/Izuna in particular would be wonderful, as well as any look at the sort of general suspicion and caution required in the warring clans era! Like, is it hard for Hashirama to trust Izuna? Is helping Izuna a difficult choice, despite Hashirama's dream?

I would enjoy anything from Hashirama and Izuna becoming friends despite Izuna's best efforts to Hashirama having to injure or kill Izuna for the sake of the village, so really go where your heart takes you!

Timeline: Pretty much anything would be good, pre- or post-village founding, but I usually like for characters to be 12 or older just because I don't find children very interesting to read about? On the other hand they're off being child soldiers at that age, so maybe it'd be good! I trust you.

Senju Tobirama/Uchiha Madara

This ship has just SUCH good potential for tension, conflict, politics, and iddy, iddy goodness. They're from two warring clans! They're at the center in a crazy shift in ideology and warfare! They're both hot! Listen, I could gush about them forever.

Tobirama and Madara have a really interesting contrast (eg, Tobirama is logical, keeps his emotions locked down, has a strong leaning towards analysis and systems...and meanwhile Madara is like a big huge hot mess of All The Feelings) and the fact that they were probably raised very differently and definitely raised on opposite sides of a longstanding conflict is hella good. Their thoughts on the village, their approaches to problem solving, and even probably their very fundamental belief systems are extremely different and that's the kind of thing that can lead to really interesting tension. What they do have in common (Hashirama, losing brothers, wanting to protect their clans, each at some point in some way genuinely believing in Konoha, probably PTSD from the whole child soldier thing) makes for an interesting foundation to build a relationship.

I'd love something that explores how hard it is for them to trust each other, especially when vulnerable. Any kind of focus on ninja being cautious, dangerous, suspicious, sneaky, and etc. I don't need/want them to be grimdark edgelords who assassinate kids once a week or anything, but just kind of...a general awareness that they've been at war their whole lives against the kind of enemies who use illusions, poison, infiltration, subtle manipulation, and any other means necessary to achieve their goals! I love that shit.

Maybe they have to fight for their lives back to back. Maybe one of them needs to be rescued, or protected, and the other one steps up to do it because of their joint connection to Hashirama. Maybe, somehow, there's some identity porn.
Arranged marriage — Hashirama decides that Tobirama should marry into the Uchiha to seal the peace. Or, maybe, decides that a Senju should marry an Uchiha and then is very surprised when Madara actually wants Tobirama. Maybe Izuna is dead and it's a really rocky road to getting the ship together. Maybe Izuna is alive and hating every minute of this. I'm okay with Madara and Izuna sharing Tobirama in the most awkward spouseshare EVER if you want, too, but it's definitely not necessary. Just an option! For added tension! And maybe a marriage night threesome.
Timeloop — One of them is in a timeloop and takes forever to ask the other one for help, and then maybe takes forever convincing the other one to help. Either or both of them in a time loop that has something to do with Izuna's death. Or: Tobirama has been looping for as long as he can remember and he's so tired, tired enough to finally refuse to fight because nothing else has worked.
Huddling for warmth — While visiting a cold climate — the mountains between Land of Fire and Land of Lightning? The northern, mountainous stretch of the Land of Wind? — one of them saves the other from freezing to death.
Taking a mission together — After the village comes together,an Uchiha child goes missing and Tobirama and Madara have to work together to find and rescue them.
Bloodline thieves — Bloodline theives make AMAZING antagonists, especially for pre-village stuff, because they can make these two work together :D so anything with them would be great. People trying to steal the Sharingan from Madara is obvious, but I'd also take bloodline thieves capturing Tobirama under the mistaken assumption that either A) he has the mokuton or B) his red lines are a powerful bloodline. Or maybe the aftermath of Tobirama rescuing Izuna from bloodline theives and Madara is ssssoooo thankful? :D :D :D
Fem!Tobirama welcome — I like my female Tobirama just as sharp and analytical and powerful and controlled as my male Tobiramas. "Tobira" or "Tobirama" works for me. A female Tobirama who's publicly pretended to be male is also welcome!

Senju Tobirama & Uchiha Izuna

I love how much these two hate each other and I especially love that Izuna was committed enough to hating the Senju that he literally died over it. Izuna was clearly, I think, a man of conviction and focus, and Tobirama had to match him on the battlefield and with strategy. It seems to me that Izuna and Tobbirama were probably similar in a lot of ways (suspicious, non-idealist younger brothers!) but I'm also interested in the ways they were probably different! Is Izuna a social butterfly where Tobirama is a shut-in? Does Izuna's temper run hot where Tobirama's runs cold? Does Izuna excel at quickly-adjusted tactics where Tobirama is more for long term strategy? There are so many directions for exploring their characters to go and I would love to see what you'll do with them.

Also, I'm not opposed to a fic where they don't hate each other, but I would really really love a sense that it was a hard-earned truce. I love that Warring Clans Era ninja lead dangerous, violent lives and I love that Izuna distrusted the Senju so much he died that horrible death, so I prefer not to see all that suspicion and caution swept away so easily. Even if they've grudgingly begun to work together and even maybe respect each other, I am very very into them each being ready for the other to try and kill them at any point.

Mostly: I want time travel! Sasuke traveling back to the Warring Clans Era, where everything is terrible and children get hunted for sport. Sasuke grappling with his feelings towards Konoha when Konoha isn't even around yet! Sasuke confronting the fact that Madara is a wholeass person! Madara's grief being fresh! Sasuke spending time around the Warring Clans Era Uchiha and all their traditions and culture!

I would enjoy a fic with both of them hurting instead of one or the other. I would enjoy Sasuke or Madara at any age, although I have a deep weakness for the idea of Sasuke rolling up after Izuna dies. I would enjoy physical time travel or reincarnation.

Again to be very transparent, I would really love time travel! I love the Warring Clans Era and I don't need any complex justification for time travel. Just put Sakura in the past and I'll love it.

I like it when Sakura is strong and confident! I enjoy fics that let her use her big brain to solve problems or that just let her punch things. On the Madara side of things, I love when he's sad. I think this ship has a lot of interesting space for tension from Sakura's side, and I like the idea of her overcoming her idea of who he is and seeing the person he is right then.

I would prefer they both be late teens or adults, and I would enjoy physical time travel or reincarnation. If you want to also throw in Sakura being hurt in addition to Madara, that'd be fine by me!

Liu Qingge&/Shen Jiu (hurt SJ)

I love that LQG mistakenly thinks SQQ tried to kill him and SQQ knows that LQG thinks that and never apparently tried to clarify it. SQQ is honestly the very definition of getting in his own way and meanwhile LQG doesn't see him clearly at all, so the idea of them having to work that shit out is absolute gold.

In terms of shippy vs gen, either is fine! I think that these two are really hard to convincingly get together in a short amount of words because they're both individual messes that turn into a flaming dumpster fire when combined, so I like to request the gen version along with the ship version — I'm into them being forced into proximity, forced to reassess what they know about each other, forced to treat each other differently, forced to rely on each other, etc... as long as they're in the same time/place interacting I don't mind whether or not they ever process to tender loving feelings! I would be just as happy with a canon-compliant fic where they still hate each other at the end. In fact, I would love to see more of LQG misunderstanding SQQ.

This ship has it all??? Miscommunication! Loyalty/fealty! Cultural differences! Class/status difference! A daring rescue! A dramatic reveal! Noodles!!!

I like that SQH is a disaster and MBJ is too stoic for his own good. They're never on the same page until they get together and that appeals to me a lot. I don't need dramatic misunderstandings, but I do like that they struggle to understand each other and that even when they both think they're communicating clearly it's very easy for them to fuck it up and walk away from the conversation with entirely different ideas of what just happened simply because MBJ is a demon and SQH is A) a human and B) a transmigrator. One of my favorite things in the world is when two characters have an argument and don't realize that they're actually arguing about different things — misunderstandings that are about trying to communicate but failing because neither character realizes that they're trying to get on the same page using two different books.

Other things I'd love to see explored:

MBJ and loyalty — he's very powerful and has been constantly surrounded by people he can't trust. SQH worms his way in there. I love to see a canon divergence or something where SQH proves himself loyal and trustworthy earlier than in canon!
SQH's status and power — An Ding is the logistics peak of a huge, influential sect! In canon SQH doesn't really get any respect because SQQ pegs him as Airplane-bro and dunks on him constantly, but I'd love to see something that explores SQH's power, influence, reputation, and connections with people who don't think of him as Some Guy Who Wrote A Really Terrible Harem Smut Novel.
Worldbuilding about demons — I'm especially interested in how being a demon lords works and the demon economy and trade and, like, basically anything having a really great logistics guy around would be useful for!

Below I've talked generally about Parker and a little about each of my requested characters because that seemed simplest, but here are some general thoughts:

I love minor/reoccuring Leverage characters (Detective Bonanno, Amy Palavi, Taggart & McSweeten, etc!) and minor/reoccuring Person of Interest characters (Zoe, Leon, Shaw's partner who immediately beefs it right after we meet him, etc!) and would be delighted to see them show up in the fic if you have room/reason for them!
...also I didn't really talk about them at all below but I feel like I should register that I like Root and Reese a lot! I just knew I wouldn't have enough ideas about them to give them their own letter sections, so I left them out of my noms. But they're great!

Parker

Parker is my favorite character and I focused on her for these nominations because even though I love the other Leverage characters (and would love to see them show up!) I think Parker's skill set is the one that Team Machine really doesn't have, at least not at the level Parker can bring! I also think since she's always sneaking into places she's in a great position to find people who need rescuing or who need help doing a rescue, and I don't know if you can tell this from my freeforms but...I really like rescues!

Things I'm interested in seeing explored about Parker:

Her pre-Leverage heists! One of the PoI characters could hire her or she could just get tangled up in PoI drama. Maybe an example of how working with other people went badly for her before the Leverage team?
The beautiful character development we see in canon where she becomes a team player! And starts caring! About people! And right and wrong! (But still not about the law, lol.)
What Parker got up to between Leverage seasons when the gang was split up and Hardison couldn't find her.
You know that scene in the first episode of Season 4 where Parker and Eliot are trapped in the ice cave and they can't bring the corpse with them and Eliot talks to Parker about doing the hard things because Hardison, Sophie, and Nate can't? Yes. That. That is my favorite scene in the whole show. I love it so much.
Post-canon Parker being a mastermind! Running jobs! Maybe being even more scary than Nate!

Joss

I sob like a baby over Joss every time I watch PoI so first of all if you're into her not dying like she did in canon let me assure you I am also into that. In fact, I'm into it even if you decide to focus on one of my other requested relationships, because I do just love Joss a lot. Her story arc and slowly becoming friends with Reese and taking justice into her own hands was really compelling and matches up really well with a lot of the themes of Leverage.

I'm interested in seeing Joss deliberately work with Parker to break the law and other explorations of Joss's position as pretty much the only good cop in NYC.
Maybe Parker could interact with her while pretending to be an FBI agent?
Maybe Joss hears about the Leverage team and decides to hire them to help with something?
Would love for Joss to get caught up in one of the Leverage team's job — her deliberately playing along would be great, but it would also be great for her to think she's honestly in deep shit because Parker or one of the other members of the Leverage Team is very convincingly faking that they're dangerous people willing to do whatever they have to.
In terms of rescue, obviously Joss could be rescuing any random civilian or a member of Team Machine, but also I would be interested in something with her son!

Fusco

I think Fusco would find Parker really frustrating in a very delightful way and yet also would probably really vibe with Leverage's whole Thing because he loves bending the rules. Fusco's character development is probably the best of any show I've ever seen and I LOVE seeing him reluctantly dragged towards being a more moral person, which I think would make him and Parker an interesting match up!

Ok, Joss with Parker pretending to be an FBI agent would be good, but Fusco? Oh my god. The sheer comedy potential of Fusco working with FBI Special Agent Haden.
Would love to see Fusco get wrapped up in one of the Leverage team's jobs as well! Everything I suggested with Joss would also be excellent with Fusco, but also I think Fusco is way more likely to allow himself to be shoved right into the deep end of playing along with a con than Joss is, without necessarily requiring all the details, so I'd love to see something where the Leverage team desperately needs an actual cop to play along with some shit and Hardison points out Fusco as the most likely to do some crooked shit.
I think post-canon Fusco will be in a really tough place, and I'd love an exploration of that. Does the Machine ever call him with numbers? If it does, does he struggle to rescue them? If it doesn't, does he wish it would?
In terms of rescue, obviously Fusco could be rescuing any random civilian or a member of Team Machine, but also I would be interested in something with his son! Meanwhile, Parker could definitely be rescuing a client or Leverage team members, but a minor character would also be welcome! Even a character who wouldn't necessarily expect a rescue from Parker.

Shaw

When I think about Shaw I go !!!!! in my heart. She's so great and I love her. My favorite Shaw moment is tied between (1) that scene in "Razgovor" where Finch tries to get her to go get medical attention and she's like "You can't bench me for just one mistake!" (2) that time she shot out a dude's kneecaps in the dark through a wall and then immediately in the next scene has rewarded herself with a steak, which she is eating with only a knife. She's perfect.

Shaw takes the hitter position to Parker's thief/mastermind! Equally interested in this being a preplanned thing or an impromptu team up.
Post-canon Shaw is desperately in need of a team! Joining the Leverage team would be excellent, but so would Shaw only realizing she needs a team after getting into trouble she needs the Leverage team's help getting out of.
I think of any of my requested match ups these two would have the hardest time trusting each other, which would make them working together really deliciously full of tension.
In terms of rescue, I would love any of Team Machine, Gen, Michael Cole, or even for it to be Shaw who's getting rescued and for the injured character who needed help doing the rescue to be someone else!

Finch

And finally Finch! I think Parker working with Finch would provide a really interesting comparison to Parker and Hardison working together and to Finch and Reese working together. I really love what a private person Finch is, how much he holds himself apart from people before Reese gets under his skin, the way he sets to his task of rescuing numbers for years and does it alone if he must and risks his life when necessary. He's great!

I think Finch has really great, interesting risk/reward choices so I would LOVE to see him get in over his head either accidentally or deliberately, and I'm equally interested in Parker having to help him or him having to help Parker.

What if Finch has hired Parker to steal something for him before?
Post-canon Finch being just unable to keep from sticking his nose into things would be wonderful. Grace could show up too!
In terms of rescue, a member of Team Machine or the Leverage team would be great, of course, or Grace, or a number/client, or Leon again, etc!
