Hi! Thanks for creating for me, or for otherwise taking a look at my letter. I’m usually fencesit on AO3 but this is my second FIAB sign up, under the name
wishywashi! You can feel free to gift works to both accounts, if you'd like.
You may notice that I have less details or prompts for some fandoms/ships/mediums than others. Please don't take this as an indication that I want those things any less than other things! I very much desperately want everything I've requested, I've just had more time to request some things than others.
And: please don't feel like you need to follow one of my prompts to keep from disappointing me. I've provided all the information below in an attempt to help my creator feel confident in producing a gift for me, but if prompts and extra details don't work for you then feel free to ignore them.
ALSO I know that this letter is really long. Please just skip sections that don't interest you!

- derealization — An alteration in the perception or experience of the external world so that it seems unreal.
- depersonalization — The persistent feeling of observing oneself from outside one’s body or having a sense that one’s surroundings/body aren't real.
- Typically dissociation shows up as reaction to stress or trauma where the character experiencing it feels disconnected in some way from their emotions, their body, reality, etc; sometimes the character acts on autopilot.
- If you're writing/drawing a character who's literally having an out of body experience (like, because they're a ghost and something else has taken over their body) or dealing with an actual fake world (like, because they're trapped in a magical illusion) then that's okay.
- magically preserved non-rotting undead like vampires or skeletons are fine
- including using characters from other canons as stand-ins for OCs, even if the character or their appearance in the fic is very minor.
- including borrowing worldbuilding/magic systems/artifacts/alien races/etc.
- definitely fine for characters to know about or reference anything you think it's reasonable for them to have consumed as media, e.g. modern mundane characters have probably heard of Star Wars.

The Untamed DNWs/clarifications
- DNW plot/characterization drawn from other related canons — I haven't read MDZS yet, am behind on the donghua, etc. I don't mind smaller worldbuilding details or character information being pulled from the novel where it doesn't contradict The Untamed, but I will get confused if you blend the events of the two canons!
- suicide/suicidal ideation clarification:
- the suicides in the show are fine to mention/have happen/include on-screen, but I don't want anything written from the POV of those characters in that moment
- the rotting undead/zombies clarification: Obviously, the show has puppets, not zombies...but okay, they're kind of basically exactly obviously zombies, lmao, and to be honest I do love necromancy as a narrative element despite being squeamish and weak.
- You can stick with show-canon "they were just puppets!"/"Wen Ning was only mostly almost dead!" if you want!
- or you can have them be zombies, but I really do DNW the "rotting" part of this DNW — please let your undead be either freshly killed, magically preserved, or past the point of rotting (eg, skeletons, ghosts!).

I do sometimes download my gifts or read them on mobile, however, so I appreciate when unconventional works use tricks like display:none (explained in this tutorial in the "What do I do if the Creator's Style is hidden?" section) which also makes works with HTML/embedded pictures more accessible!

Ship likes:
- Anything on my general likes list is excellent in shipfic too of course. Also, I am a pretty big fan of understated shipfic — if you just put the characters together and show that they care about each other then I don't even need kissing or anything, really, which I think can work well for fandoms where characters are frequently in life-or-death situations or need to be professional. Not that kissing isn't welcome! Just, I am extremely easy to please on the "Is this shippy enough?" front.
- Slow burn, friends to lovers, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers — The slower the better. FWB-to-lovers is also great.
- Characters who have history with each other — established relationships are good, but what I really love is feeling like the characters know each other well and think about each other often. In characters who are already friends, that probably looks like, say, knowing what kind of coffee the other person likes. In characters who were enemies, they probably know each other’s weaknesses and faults really well.
- Arguments where each person thinks the conversation is about something subtly different — I mean, misunderstandings in general are great for tension, but I like it when characters are trying to communicate but they’re coming from perspectives so different that they can’t even argue without clarification.
- Casual physical affection — a lot of my ships involve people who have massive or very specific personal bubbles, so seeing the way the characters touch each other when they’re not already in Kissing Mode is really great.
- Pining, especially longstanding they-could-never-want-me pining — the id wants what the id wants and what the id wants is characters with low self-worth. Bonus points if it's tied up in some kind of misunderstanding about their relationship (eg, "They hate me!" or "I'm ugly!") or their differing rank/species/wealth/etc.
- When their hands touch and other very understated moments of romantic or sexual tension — aaaaaaa I don't even have words for how much I love this, if you include it I will wail happily at you about it in my comment, possibly at length.
Smut likes
I don't usually request smut but if you want to include it then I don't mind. I know that that's kind of an extremely bland and unenthusiastic way to start out but it's, uh, really honest, at least? I'm usually after character interaction, plot, or worldbuilding with my requests, but getting a sex scene along with other stuff definitely wouldn't ruin a gift. Overall, I want you to feel free to write sex if you would enjoy doing so/if you think the fic will be better with it! I'm generally just enthused by my creator getting to have fun writing something they're proud of, you know?
There are obviously some things I do like, and I know some folks really enjoy tailoring their fic (i'm one of them!) so:
- Extremely emotionally charged sex — No matter what kind of sex acts they do, I really love when the sex has a lot of feelings involved, especially if it's sad emotions or desperation or part of some hurt/comfort or whump.
- Sex that's very directly relevant to the plot or character arcs — I love sex scenes where I learn more about a character or relationship. Is 'character driven smut' a thing? Because if so, that's my favorite. And also porn with plot.
- anal and pegging, PIV, frottage, intercural, handjobs, all kinds of fingering, strapons, toys
- overstimulation and edging, orgasm delay/denial
- bondage — handcuffs, spreader bars, honor bondage, and honestly pretty much anything in the general category of restricting someone's movement during sex
- praise kink, loyalty kink, hurt/comfort, trust and sex otherwise overloaded with emotion
- magic/super powers being used in fun and inventive ways
- clothing/uniform kink, half-clothed sex, one naked and the other not.
- hair petting, cuddling, lazy mornings in bed, touch starvation
- size difference, size kink, come inflation, large insertions
- pregnancy, including mpreg — impregnation porn and pregnant sex welcome, eggpreg and het mpreg are also fine. And while we're talking about it, narratively speaking I love a fic where being pregnant/mpregnant is upsetting because the character didn't plan for it, thinks their partner doesn't want it, conceived in a nonconsensual or dubiously consensual way, can't afford it, etc, all of which could be comforted away with or without sex. I'm not much for birthing scenes.
- probably other things that I'm forgetting! I'm pretty open to a bunch of things that aren't on the above list or mentioned in my DNWs, and if you're unsure if you should include something please feel free to ask through the mods.

Mako/Wu
I love unlikely friendships/couples and I also love it when characters take awhile to warm up to each other. I'm super into Mako finding Wu annoying and terrible but still being serious about doing a good job protecting him, and I really like that Wu is so flighty and care-free but clearly trusts Mako! It's a great bases for a wonderful get-together story and I am extremely hungry for it.
Prompts:
- Forced intimacy - only one bed, handcuffed together, also the way Mako really can't/shouldn't let Wu out of his sight.
- Hurt/comfort - I think they'd be really bad at comforting each other, which would be really funny, but also that after enough exposure they'd start to actually do the comfort thing pretty well. For this ship I would actually prefer physical h/c to emotional h/c, but I am also squeamish about about descriptions of injury. For milder hurts with lower stakes, I like twisted ankles, or concussions/minor cuits/bruises/other relatively simple injuries received via some kind of mishap. For bigger hurts with higher stakes, I like dislocated shoulders, broken bones, bloodloss, and poison. Starvation/isolation/hypothermia also EXTREMELY welcome.
- Marriage - I have a ton of marriage likes and any of them would be great for this ship!
- Stories about pregnancy itself don't really do anything for me, but I do like mpreg and I do like stories about the complications that pregnancy can cause, socially/politically speaking.I think Wu getting pregnant by his bodyguard would be a great source of drama!
- Finally what about if at the end of canon Wu was suddenly an airbender? I just think that that would be neat, by which I mean that Wu is kind of a disaster so giving him the power to fly seems great.

Bears are my favorite animal and I love them so much!! Grizzly/brown bears are my favorite, but all kinds of bears are good bears. Mundane bears, magical bears, and space bears are all welcome. The friend could be another bear, a different animal, or a human friend. If the other friend is an animal, I would prefer it not be a dog, cat, or deer. If the friend is a human, I would be interested in any kind of human of any age, gender, etc. It'd be nice to read about a bear helping someone, or someone helping a bear. I'm a big fan of unexpected friends and friends-to-enemies and I don't care if you're accurate at all about bears.
I'd love a happy ending for the bear!

- Maybe the friend could be raised by the bear in the woods, kind of like being raised by wolves but way better.
- The bear and the friend initially distrust each other but learn to work together for reasons (maybe against a common enemy) and a true friendship is formed.
- The bear rescues the friend from something. It could be something like a wild animal or a force of nature (platonic huddling for warmth would be nice!) or it could be something more serious, like rape or murder.
- The friend rescues the bear from something. I am okay with some brief animal cruelty towards the bear as long as the bear isn't permanently injured. It'd be neat if this came with some trust issues that the bear and the friend have to work out!
- Maybe the friend's parent (or ancestor, if it's a magical bear) actually did one of the above, and now the bear or the friend is reaching out to the other for help.
- The bear could be a magical forest guardian! If you're doing art, bear+nature imagery would be amazing.

These two are so good and I love them. I really like how Gus adjusts his life for Shawn and how Shawn kept tabs on Gus even when Shawn was off doing other things. I think their big differences are super compelling and make for incredibly dynamic, wonderful scenes. Their banter is great, too! Overall they're like, the best friends ever shown on television but also I think they should be in love, you know?

- I would love a casefic, or even just a slice of a casefic if you're writing a shorter story. I'd love for it to happen while they're on a vacation (or some kind of business trip for Gus?) in a place you'd enjoy writing about!

I really love every single iddy, self-indulgent Mentor!Snape fic I've ever read and I even loved most of the Severitus challenge fics I read back in the day, so here I am to bat my eyes at you about how great it is when these two have to spend time together and (gasp) actually try to get along! I like that Snape is honestly kind of a bad person who did his best in canon but unfortunately his best was, like, *barely* adequate and ended up with him dying via snake. I like that Harry is super smart in some ways and an idiot in other ways and doesn't trust adults in generals or teachers in specific at all by the time he gets to Hogwarts, so even if Snape had been trying even harder than he did their relationship probably would have been pretty disastrous.
In general, I would just really love to see something that explores their relationship in a canon divergence — and if you're not into the iddy depths of Snape mentoring Harry during his Hogwarts years, I would also be really interested in an AU where Snape lives and he and Harry work together on something as adults or some kind of time travel plot where an older Harry travels back in time and hangs out with a younger Snape.

I am a very simple person who loves a very good ship like this, okay. Like everyone else I'm obsessed with them both slowly changing their minds about each other, and I'm of course particularly in love with A) Darcy getting his bubble burst after the world's worst proposal and B) Elizabeth seeing how good of a landowner Darcy is and changing her opinion of his character. I like the socio-economic difference between them, too, and I am a big fan of characters who misunderstand each other because of their life experience/cultural context/understanding of how the world works is too different to quite communicate effectively with the other person.
I would particularly love a get-together fic, or a pre-ship fic where there's lots of tension.

- For Reasons, Elizabeth has to accept the world's worst proposal and Darcy's character growth has to happen with Elizabeth, you know, right there, already married to him.

Fitzwilliam Darcy/Elizabeth Bennet & Caroline Bingley (P&P)
When I finally started reading P&P fic I was struck by how often Caroline shows up as a major antagonist. She was the frequent target of character bashing and often cast as evil and/or greedy and/or frivolous and/or etc, and not that I don't love a good two-dimensional antagonist and not that I didn't gobble those P&P fics up because don't get me wrong, it was iddy as fuck, but I was also struck by the INTENSE need for a fic where Caroline is interesting and deep and, even if she's being terrible, treated like a rational human being with legitimate feelings and motives.
...That being said, I don't need Caroline to be nice, easy to get along with, pure of heart, or perfectly logical. I'm down for her to be a hot mess, I'm down for her to be jealous, I'm down for her to be playing stupid social status games! I like characters who are unlikeable and I love it when characters don't get along, so if you don't want to write about her and Elizabeth learning to like each other then that's totally fine. Exciting, even! Mostly, I'm craving something where Caroline is a fully realized character who follows solid internal logic and isn't belittled by the narrative.
I feel like because canon is from Lizzie's point of view and because she doesn't hang out with Caroline after she has her change of heart about Darcy (and starts thinking more critically about the way she judges people and assumes things about them!) we were unfortunately robbed of seeing if Caroline has hidden depths. What's she like when she really definitely can't land Darcy as a husband but still has to interact with him? What does it take to make her stop fussing about class and wealth and propriety and public image, and who is she when she's not worrying about those things? Was she ever pleasant company for Darcy, only to ruin it by becoming interested in him? Does she have any dreams outside of social climbing/wealth?
Also given that I am asking for these characters to possibly be put in difficult/dangerous situtaions, rape/threat of rape from a third party is fine to include but I don't want noncon porn — I'm just interested in dealing with the emotional and practical fallout!

I really really love Natsume-centric stories! Natsume really speaks to my need for angsty sad people who slowly find their place in the world so he will just always be my fave. Here are some ideas!
- Canon-typical demon problems would be so wonderful. I would love a return of minor/side characters — any youkai would be great, and on the human side I'd love Sasada, Taki, or Tanuma, but whoever you're interested in would also be fantastic!!!
- I'm a sucker for Natsume accidentally attaining godhood.
- Natsume is stuck in a situation where he has to use the Book of Friends to help himself or someone else.
- What would it take for a demon to convince Natsume to let them add their name to the Book of Friends?

Blue Castle is already full of tropey marriage-y goodness for this ship but I just really want more! I would love something canon-compliant or something canon-divergent. I really like the canon setting/time period, but I also definitely won't nitpick anything I read for anachronisms!
I really love how Valancy opens up over the course of the book first on her own and then because she has Barney's love and support. Seeing her get to bust out of her terrible life and leave her awful family behind was great! I also really like the way social classes play a part in the book, and how Valancy looks past them and past other societal pressures, and how eventually it turns out that the class divide in the relationship is actually the reverse of what everyone assumed! I also really like Barney and his insecurities and his complete inability to hear his wife praise his writing to his face, lmfao.

Dwarf Fortress has a really fascinating setting and so does Stardew Valley and I think they'd go great together!
Krobus is my favorite SDV character and also his people had that whole 1,000 year war with the dwarves so I would love something that involves Krobus specifically or shadow people in general. Did the thousand year war start because of territorial disputes, or because the DF dwarves caused the great calamity that Krobus' people went through, or for some other reason? Was there ever a time when the shadow people and the dwarves worked together? I'm also really interested in Krobus' name meaning "bridge-crosser" because it seems like that must have some kind of cultural significance! Is it a name meant to reflect Krobus' nature? Is it a job description or title as much as it is a personal name, relating in some way to how Krobus makes contact with others or does business?
If you're not feeling Krobus and the shadow people, I would welcome any other SDV characters except Shane and would definitely be interested in some kind of fusion where the PC's farm is near a Dwarf Fortress fort or where Dwarf Fortress dwarves try to take up farming or something!
I'm down for whatever written mediums interest you — documents that fit the canon setting, historical accounts, Dwarf Fortress-style logs, etc.
Krobus (Stardew Valley) & Dipper Pines & Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)
This crossover is really borne out of my need to see Dipper and Mabel make friends with weird creatures, and Krobus seems like a star candidate! They could find Krobus's shop in the Gravity Falls sewer, or get sent to Pelican Town the summer after canon, or maybe they take over a farm from the non-Pines side of the family after they get a little older. Or, maybe Stardew Valley is close-ish to Gravity Falls and they're coming through trying to ask the Wizard questions or get a grappling hook upgrade or hire Robin to work on the Mystery Shack and run into Krobus. I just like these characters and would enjoy seeing them interact!

I really don't have a preference for gen vs ship for these two because I think either could be really interesting! I'm interested in Luo Binghe getting some of that good ol' Leaf nin friendship treatment, in an older and wiser Sakura dealing with a very pretty boy she can have a more grown-up crush on, and/or in LBH hurt/comfort. I find OP Sakura power fantasies very iddy, so please feel free to lean into that if you agree — but I also really like it when a fic emphasizes that Sakura's best weapon his her big big brain. Sometimes a Sakura power fantasy can just be about her being smart as hell and I respect that. But, you know, she could also punch people. God I love Sakura.
RE ages/timelines: for the & tag, any age whether they're not useless toddlers would be great. For the / tag I'd like Sakura and Luo Binghe to be roughly the same age or both roughly adults.

- one of them rescues the other: LBH gets to be OP in his canon so I confess I lean towards Sakura being the one to provide the rescue, but on the other hand LBH is so OP it is a little hard to imagine that he'd be injured and need help! Still, through the power of contrived Airplane plots I think anything is possible, so whichever way you want to write this freeform will surely be perfect.
Haruno Sakura&/Wen Qing
I really don't have a preference for gen vs ship for these two because I think either could be really interesting! I'm interested in them getting to know each other, comparing medical techniques, being completely badass, etc. I find OP Sakura power fantasies very iddy, so please feel free to lean into that if you agree — but I also really like it when a fic emphasizes that Sakura's best weapon his her big big brain, so you don't have to make her OP if you don't want to!
RE ages/timelines: for the & tag, any age above 12 or so would be great. For the / tag I'd like Sakura and Wen Qing to be roughly the same age — or both adults at least. If Sakura is late canon or post-canon then I will just read like she and Wen Qing are roughly the same age and not give it any more thought.

- Interesting people you meet in prison/Characters Meet While In Captivity — I have no particular preference about when the meeting happens or who is doing the capturing/imprisoning. The Wen, the Jin, whatever! I also don't actually need both characters to be imprisoned (eg, crossover character could be captured by the Wen and Wen Qing could just be, like, around) nor do I need their time captured together to be the subject of the fic — I would very much enjoy that, but I would also enjoy them running into each other later in some other situation with the "captured together" backstory in play!
- Crossover character helps Wei Wuxian & the Wen Remnants — Maybe Sakura happens to be in the right place at the right time to miraculously heal Jin Zixuan, or maybe she just lives in Yiling, or...maybe a lot of things. I just really want a fixit for the Wen Remnants. She could be hired to escort WWX to the first month party and prevent things from escalating so badly! There are many options, all of them good, and all of them hopefully involving becoming Wen Qing's girlfriend.
- Crossover character saves Wen Ning from WN's canonical death — I would love to see Wen Qing arrive to find WN, terrified that he's dead, and find that Sakura's saved him!
